Feelings, they change in a thousand ways!
Follow them and you're in danger,
They keep you from walking by faith.

Feelings, like the sands they can shift!
You never can stand upon them,
You don't know which way they'll drift.

Tossed to and fro like an ocean wave,
Trusting in emotions is so unsafe.
The Master says, "Just keep your eyes on Me.
I will help you walk upon the sea!"

Trusting and knowing that God is,
Having His Word within us.
What could we want more than this?

I feel You, know You, see You all around me,
In every tender look and smiling face I see.
Each promise in Your Word I receive,
Gives me more faith to believe
That You're there beside me to guide me all along the way!
