Joe, you say there
Is no way to know
The love of God,

Well here my friend,
Come near my friend,
I'll tell the story
Of the Son of God
Who shed his blood,
And suffered shame
That we might claim his love.

He came as man
And walked the land,
Brought hope for misery,
Yet none did care to share his shame
Ease the pain of mockery.

Yet he forgave, by love he saves
And still his work's not done,
With mercy and forgiveness
Still he calls whoever will may come.

And so my friend, there is no end
To perfect love like this,
Bow down to him, confess your sin,
Invite Him in, He'll give you peace and rest.
