That they will be able to pray and hear from the Lord for His will as to whether she should agree to receive the chemotherapy the doctors are recommending. TESTIMONIES OF ANSWERED PRAYER

From John Azi and Angeles, Portugal:
It happened at the end of the summer push. Angeles had been bleeding for almost two months. We had stopped off on our clowning tour to visit with some other Family in Valencia, Spain. About the second or third day we got there, Angeles came down with a high fever and pain in her left ovary. We decided we'd better go to the hospital to see what the problem was, as she had been praying for healing all summer. Though she'd had partial victories, the bleeding had persisted. When we got to the hospital, they took an ultrasound test and discovered she had a tumor in her left ovary about as large as an orange, probably full of liquid that for some reason hadn't been released. The doctor painted the picture very gray and said that she would need an operation the next day, warning her that the tumor could fall and rip apart her womb and she could die.
God bless Angeles, she had been quite desperate and witnessed to the doctor about her belief in God and His healing power, and that rather than stay in the hospital as the doctor was strongly advising, she wanted to go home where she could pray and seek the Lord. Finally, when the doctor saw how convinced Angeles was, she let her go, under the condition that she return the next day for further tests. But first the doctor said, "If God hasn't healed you in two months, do you think He could do it now in one day?"
When we returned to the Home, Angeles stayed outside in the camper in fasting and prayer. At 10:00 that evening, at the time appointed, she came into the Home for desperate united prayer. Before we prayed, she read from Grandpa's prayer for Mama's eyes, rebuking the Devil and claiming healing by faith. We finished by praying for her from that prayer, changing the sentences as we prayed.
The next day we went back to the hospital for the check-up. This time there was a different doctor, but the same nurses. The doctor looked at the results of the tests and then looked at Angeles and said, "Are you the same woman?" Angeles answered yes, and the doctor said, "The results of the tests show that you are in very critical condition, but you look perfectly well! How do you feel?" Angeles said she had a little pain, but that she was feeling much better and explained how she had asked God to heal her. The nurses who were there the day before testified that she was the same woman. One nurse even called the other nurses, saying, "Come, the missionary from yesterday is here and she's 100% better."
Even the doctor admitted to the power of prayer, TYJ! What an answer to prayer! Within three days, the bleeding had completely stopped and within a week she felt no pain in her side when she would press on her ovary--something which had previously left her in excruciating pain. The doctor advised us to go back for a checkup in a week's time, and when we did, they would not even take an ultrasound, as it was obvious that Angeles had been healed and it wasn't an emergency anymore! Thank You Jesus! He never fails and always answers prayer if we get desperate enough. We hope this testimony will inspire others to trust the Lord for their healing. He loves us and wants to show it by healing!

From Patience Amor (19), Russia:
Three years ago I was diagnosed with a minor case of colitis (an inflammation of the colon). I found a special diet that helped alleviate the symptoms. At that time I was under the supervision of loving guardians who helped me be faithful in it. After the implementation of the Love Charter and when I turned eighteen, I knew that I was now fully responsible for my decisions in every part of my life, including my health. I slowly but surely stopped my diet and kept my special diet needs unknown simply because of pride.
In my weakest state physically, I awoke to the fact that I was indeed very sick. I knew that I was to blame for my very bad state physically. Colitis is a quiet sickness that's not painful, making its state not visibly clear. I was diagnosed with colitis and a serious case of ulcers in my large intestine, as well as a cyst on one of my kidneys.
When I heard that the doctors didn't expect me to make it, the Lord started to prepare me for my decision to live or die, trusting Him for my healing. Was I going to trust Him with my healing or death? I also needed to find out what I had the faith for. The doctors recommended strongly that I return to the States and seek treatment. But ultimately it was a decision I alone could make. Being so weak, all I could do was rest in Jesus' arms, be still, silent and simply hold on to His Words. To know that He was all I needed gave me comfort and the faith to live or die trusting Him on the field.
I'm happy to be alive now to continue in the flesh here on Earth in the Lord's service. I've grown deeply in love with the Lover of all lovers and am so thankful to be in the Lord's Endtime army. I'm also so thankful for all that Dad passed on to us so faithfully and for Mama and Peter's great sample of laying down their lives for us and Jesus. All I want to do is love Him, obey, and lay down my life, so others may live in His wonderful love!
Thank you all for your support through your loving prayers and prophecies for me. The Lord is giving me victory through His wonderful, faith-building, powerful Words that are remolding me into a new creature fit for His service. The Lord is making a fighter out of me in preparation for the dark days ahead and I'm learning to love every minute of it. All I can do is thank the Lord for the precious six weeks I spent in the Russian hospital. Praise to our Love King! (
Please continue to keep Patience in your prayers. See prayer request #47.)

From Christina (of Micha), Germany:
The Lord allowed me to come down with Hepatitis A. Since it was not possible for me to find the needed rest at home, and also because of the risk of passing the virus on, I stayed in the hospital for two weeks. I do feel much, much better. Thank you for your prayers! I can say that it is a Romans 8:28 for sure, as I have received so many blessings from this situation. I was able to get lots of quality time with Jesus, which I desperately needed. Lord help me, it's so easy for me to work, and there is always such a need. Yet my situation was getting desperate, as I had lost my "cushion of grace" recently, simply by not taking enough time to fill up. This sickness is His mercy on me, His emergency brake of pulling me out before I would start destroying things by going off the deep end.
The first days I was in the hospital, I felt very sick and miserable. I was out of it, not just physically, but also spiritually. My thoughts were one big muddle, yet deep in my heart I knew Jesus was right there, longing to have me to Himself so that in His great love for me He could patch me up again. I knew it was His hand that had brought me out of the busy scene into a desert place, alone with Him. It was as if He was sad that for so long I had not come to Him in that utter abandonment that renews our whole being. Even now when so sick, it took me two days to come into His arms, to open up and tell Him all my trials and fears, telling Him I wanted to learn to trust all over again. I confessed that I had not committed to Him the problems I had seen; that I had allowed fears to come between us, and with those fears, doubts. Even though I had served Him these past months, giving my all, I had withheld part of my heart for fear of getting hurt. This was my first real meeting with Him in a long time. It was like a date with the one you love after having been away for long. Now, though He called me and I knew He was waiting for me, I was ashamed of my condition as I had not kept myself for Him, but had allowed doubts to run me down, to separate us.
He whispered in my heart, "Come, please come. I don't care how things have gone; I'm just so happy you are here." I felt no need to put on makeup for our meeting. I knew it would mean nothing to Him, but that it would be something He would lovingly wipe off. What mattered was that I was completely honest and that all I wanted was Him. So I went. All I desperately wanted was to be back in His arms, just close to Him. Once there I felt safe.
I pray I learned from this experience once more: That in trials I should hold on to Him, not get fearful and resentful. Like the vine clings to the tree in the storm, I must throw myself into His arms, holding on to Him and crying in His lap. There I should stay until strengthened.
I know my only hope is to live with Him day and night, doing all I do as unto Him, looking unto Him for His approval. Questions come all the time, and He shows me the answers, if I can just be still enough to listen. "Thank You Lord, it is so beautiful to be with You!"

From Jenny, England:
I had always taken my health for granted, so it was a completely new experience for me last year when I found a lump in my breast that turned out to be cancer. Immediately after the diagnosis, I went to the hospital for an operation to remove the lump. After this, the doctors suggested a course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy to reduce the chances of it spreading. I have finished the radiotherapy and have only two months of chemotherapy to go. The operation was fine and I have gone through the treatment with comparatively few side effects and am almost back to normal. I'm sure it's thanks to the Lord and prayer power. I often use it as a witness, and tell people who remark on how well I'm looking that I have a lot of supportive friends who are praying for me.
At first when I found out that I had cancer it was a huge trial for me. Not only was I very fearful, but I suffered a lot of condemnation because of getting sick. However, now looking back on the past few months, I can see many positive lessons and changes that resulted from it, as well as many examples of the Lord's lovingkindness. It's been truly a case of Romans 8:28--so much so that I counted having cancer as one of my blessings at our New Year's candlelight service. I never thought I'd be able to face a major sickness and see it in this way, so I know it's only thanks to the Lord and His grace that I can, as it's certainly nothing of me.
Having cancer really shook me up and made me seriously reassess my life, as I'd become very settled and stuck in a rut. I did want to leave and go to the field, but it wasn't top on my list of priorities. I was enjoying a leisurely existence in the quiet little country town where we live. However, having cancer brought it home to me that our days are numbered and we may not have as much time as we think. It jolted me out of my lethargy and made me decide to take the plunge and go to Ghana with Emanuel, who had been asking us to go with him for the past two years! Lord forgive me for being such a tough case that He had to send cancer along to bring this home to me!
I've seen further proof of the Lord's love in the help and support I've received from my sweet Family. So many people have phoned me, sent cards or flowers to let me know they love me and are praying for me. Pierre and Cedar, who live nearby, helped by taking my kids or going with me to hospital appointments. My ex-husband, who "happened" to be visiting when I had to go to the hospital, stayed two weeks longer than he'd planned, so as to take care of our children. The Lord also touched Emanuel's heart to come and stay with us and help while I was having treatment. Thank the Lord for such a wonderful Family!
The whole experience has done a lot to sober me up and help me grow and progress spiritually. It's given me a lot more sympathy for the sick and weak. It's also made me more of a fighter, as I've had to struggle against condemnation and fight the fear of dying of cancer.
I felt very much under condemnation for not having the faith to simply trust God for my healing, with no medical intervention. But I had to face the fact that either you have the faith for it, or you don't--and I didn't! I did, however, have the faith that Jesus could use medical treatment to heal me, if I prayed and sought His will. I had such a battle with this and also worrying about the treatment and its possible side effects. "My Heart Belongs to You" (ML #3080) had just come out and I spent most of my time reading and rereading it. It helped me finally to get the victory, as it spoke to my heart as to how much the Lord loves me and how special I am to Him--such an encouragement in my hour of need. Of course it was a shock initially and I am sometimes still hit by worries and fears about the cancer recurring or having spread, which I have to rebuke and put out of my mind. However, I look on this experience as a token of His love and care for me.

GRADUATION NOTICE:
Amy (18, of Kenaz and Hodiah) went to be with the Lord on May 9th, in a car accident. She fell asleep at the wheel and collided with an oncoming car. She was killed instantly. Please pray for Kenaz and Hodiah and their other children, as the loss of Amy is weighing heavily on them. Please pray that they will be comforted and drawn closer to the Lord through all of this. "For us who love the Lord, death is a relief, release, freedom, promotion, graduation, and passing on to a better realm!" (MOP 21:46).
