OD BLESS YOU! We love you & pray for you, as you join us in prayer for the many requests published in these Prayer Lists. Isnt it wonderful to see the Lord answer as we call upon Him? Truly, He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever (1Chr.16:34). Even when things look darkest & seem to be getting worse, its at those times, if we just hold on to the Lord a little longer, that He will come through. Like the beautiful quote that tells us, Anything wonderful can happen in that little margin of time when you do not give up but keep on believing & keep on praying! (MOP 38:55). The answer to our earnest supplication may come today, it may come tomorrow, or it may come weeks or months from now; but if we continue to put our trust in Him, theres one thing that we can be sure of: it will come. Praise the Lord!

We thought it might encourage you to know that Mama personally goes over each of the prayer requests in the Prayer List before it goes to print, & prays for them. She is very concerned about each of you who need healing, & each problem that needs the Lords solution. Mama places a lot of importance on these Prayer Lists, & often reminds us that prayer is the most important tool we have. Please do keep her & her work in your prayers, as it takes considerable time & strength for her to keep up with the many important responsibilities she carries. Thank you!
While reading over the Answered Prayer section of this Prayer List, Mama commented: As I hear all of these answers to prayer, it makes me so thankful for each one of them, because even though each one is only a few words long, those few words represent a victory over much pain & heartache, & represent desperate prayer, trials & fighting faith not only for the person involved, but for the entire Home. To those of us who havent experienced it, little words like asthma healed may not have much significance, it may not seem like such a big deal; but to the person who was afflicted with this very draining & often fear-inspiring & even life-threatening affliction, those are some of the most wonderful words theyve been able to say, & they mean more than we can ever realise!
The words completely recovered after an ear operation may not sound like any major victory to us. But well never know what the parents of the little boy went through & the heartache that they experienced, feeling the pain that their child was going through & hearing his cries, having to be desperate before the Lord during that operation, & tenderly caring for him afterwards until all of the pain & discomfort was gone. Or when you read, wrist pain healed, do you consider what suffering or fears or curtailment of ministry this might have meant? Maybe the person involved could no longer pick up the babies, or maybe she could no longer type, & maybe the Devil plagued her with fears that this pain would be permanent. Perhaps the pain was so severe it kept her awake at night & left her exhausted during the day & condemned because of her resultant impatience with people & situations.
So thank the Lord for His miracles of healingeach one is more important than we may realise. Knowing this should also motivate us to desperately pray for those who are still in need of healing. Can you try to imagine what anguish these requests involve? Can you try to put yourself in their place & weep with them who are weeping, & desperately pray with those who are desperately praying, & who need you to join with them in their battles to bring down the Lords healing touch? Please do pray one for another, that ye may be healed! The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!James 5:16. When you hear the answers, you realise just how much the time you spend in prayer is really worth it. Praise the Lord!
As you might have noticed, in recent Prayer Lists we have not been including any prayer requests against NWOs such as pride, bitterness or negative thinking, etc. This is not because we feel these are unimportant, but weve had to stop publishing such requests for various reasons; one being that we all have NWOs, and could have similar requests to a certain extent, & including these type of requests could easily snowball beyond the capacity or scope of this pub. But although we no longer include them in the worldwide PLs, please do continue to request prayer from your Home & co-workers. Feel free to ask to be included in your Area-wide or local prayer lists if you need extra prayer to get over a serious or long-standing NWO. God bless you as you grow daily in Jesus! We love you!
ANSWERED PRAYERS
For All (OCs & under with guidance)
(Some of the answered prayers listed below were not mentioned as prayer requests in past Prayer Lists, but were prayed for locally. Weve included them here for your encouragement, & to glorify the Lord for His marvellous faithfulness in answering prayer! See also the FUN for more answers to prayer not included here. Please remember to use wisdom & discretion in what you share with young children.)
Dad:
1. Dad was recently very sick with one of the strongest coughs hes had yet, preventing him from sleeping & greatly weakening him. After a message requesting desperate prayer was sent out to various offices, hes now feeling much better & well on the way to full recovery, thank the Lord!
Worldwide:
2. Victory in Melbourne! (PL 18:94) After nearly two years of fighting the Melbourne Family in the courts, the Health & Community Services Department agreed to a settlement on terms almost identical to those proposed by the Family 18 months ago. The Departments care applications will be withdrawn after a period of socialisation activities by the families involved. The Department also agreed to the Familys proposals regarding who should visit the Homes monthly during this time period, backing down on one of its major demands that Department officials be allowed to continue supervising our children.
The Family received a lot of favourable media coverage as a result of the mediation, vindicating the parents & children, & shaming the Department.
3. Breakthrough in the French case: After repeated tries to get the case moving, and being told by the court secretary that the judge would be busy until September, by a miracle, two of the brethren were able to meet the judge without an appointment. He was cordial and assured them that he would interview all of the Family adults on the 11th, 13th & 15th of July! This is a real breakthrough and answer to the brethren's desperate prayers, as the case cannot proceed until these interviews are completed. The judge also promised to make a decision at the interview as to whether the adults who have requested permission to leave the country will be allowed to do so.
4. Good news from Spanish case: Our lawyers in Spain received a copy of a document from the Constitutional Court prosecuting attorney to the judges of the same court. In the document, the prosecutor requests that the court reject the appeal by the Catalonian government against the verdict that was made in our favour last year by a Provincial Court (which returned the custody of the Family children to their parents). The Catalonian government had appealed the Provincial Court's decision in an attempt to force the Family to put their children in system school, and their appeal is presently pending before the Constitutional Court (the highest court in Spain). However, with both the prosecuting attorney & our defense lawyers requesting the appeal be rejected, it is very hopeful that it will be, thank the Lord!
5. Current Issues Songwriting Project: (PL 18:87) So far 30 new songs on current issues have been written by both adult & YA songwriters, & auditioning & recording of the songs is soon to begin.
6. The Endtime Scripture Song Tape (PL 16:45) (entitled The Lion, the Dragon & the Beast) has been completed & you should be receiving it soon! The Lord mightily anointed our musicians to produce a true masterpiece that is proving to be a favourite of both young & old! Several other audio Tapes have also been completed & should be coming your way soon!
7. Work with other Christian groups (PL 16:49): The Family has had a lot of very favourable contact & cooperation with various church groups & pastors. These groups are particularly inspired with the sample of our teens, who are frequently invited to minister to other church youth groups.
8. CAN deprogrammer Galen Kellys appeal was rejected by the court (PL 16:107), & his seven-year prison sentence was sustained.
South America:
9. Argentina (PL 18:95):
Most Family Members in Argentina have moved to other fields after the court miraculously gave them permission to leave the country. They also found all the lost documents needed for the paperwork involved.
The Lord provided all the needed funds to finance the evacuation of the Family in Argentina.
The Argentine Family was able to turn most of their rented properties back over to the owners without any problems.
A 4-page article came out in a highly regarded investigative newspaper which exposes our enemies Silleta & Baamonde (of anti-cult groups FAPES & SPES) & their involvement with the recent persecution, as well as their connections with CAN. The article also discredits the false testimonies given by Priebe & other embittered ex-members.
10. NRM conference in Recife, Brazil (PL 18:136): This conference turned into a great success for the Family, with old friends ministered to & new contacts made. The Lord mightily anointed some academic friends to speak out on our behalf at the conference, & silenced our enemies, Baamonde in particular, who had planned to try to smear us.
11. Close friend & queen (PL 18:143), 70-year-old M., has been released, safe & sound without having to pay the ransom demanded by her kidnappers.
12. Pablo (of Perla) (PL 17:162), who was rapidly losing vision in his left eye & could only see shadows, has been completely healed!
13. The Lord miraculously protected one of our friends (PL 18:144) who was being unjustly smeared in the media. He was able to prove his innocence & is now drawing closer to the Lord & the Family through the experience.
14. Juan Andres (PL 17:61), the most seriously injured of the teens in the near-fatal car accident in Colombia, has completely & miraculously recovered!
15. Sara (of Josias) (FUN 17:12): Healed of cyst on ovary!
16. Joana (of Francisco) (PL 18:137): Severe anemia totally healed.
17. Pablito (baby, of Josue & Maggie) (PL 15:51): Doing much better, eating well without vomiting.
18. Luz (5, of David & Lily) (PL 11:228): Healed of extreme photophobia (sensitivity to light). She can now go outside & play & even swim under bright sunlight!
19. Joy (9, of Rose Marie) (PL 18:141): Headaches gone since her name appeared in the PL!
Europe:
20. An investigation of the Family in Sweden (PL 18:146) by Social Services is over, with their having concluded that there is no need to intervene in any area of our lives, thank the Lord! The Social Services were impressed with our children & Homes, & in their report they made a number of very good statements about the local Family children (happy, secure, well cared for, etc.).
21. The Swedish Family's home schooling application, after being thoroughly examined by the School Board, was granted for another year, with the requirement that the children be taught supplementary classes on the Swedish language & some other subjects.
22. A motion against NRMs in a committee of the Swedish parliament was defeated in answer to the Familys prayers & lobbying.
23. Our suit against Nemeth Geza (PL 15:136), a major anti-cultist & enemy in Hungary who has been fighting the Family, has been going well.
24. Balkan pioneer team: Our first team has arrived in Croatia & has begun a fruitful ministry to the refugees & UN soldiers there!
25. Esther (of Gideon & Lily) (PL 18:155): Eczema has cleared up considerably.
26. Abi (PL 17:186): Bleeding cervix healed.
27. Mary: No placenta previa!
28. Lily Joy (14, of Julie): Healed of amblyopia (progressive dimness of vision).
29. Tabitha: Knee & back improving greatly.
30. Marie P.: Serious pains in her body subsiding.

31. Mercy (4, of David & Peace) (PL 17:198): Chronic ear infection improved.
32. Francis (PL 15:64): Herniated disk in back getting better.

35. Melbourne provisioning (PL 12:111): The Family has been able to resume provisioning at the large Melbourne produce market. This is the market that antagonistic police had visited and attempted to turn the Homes' contacts against the Family.
Asia:
36. Thai Abe (PL 18:65) (From Abe): I would like to thank everyone for your faithful prayers for me. The Lord miraculously brought me through two brain operations. The doctor had very little hope & said if I lived I would never again have the use of my left arm & leg. Its only been one month since the operations & Ive already learned how to walk again & am daily gaining strength in my left arm, which I can use already! Thank You Jesus!
37. Daniel (PL 17:20): Medical check-ups show no further sign of leprosy!
38. Liz Grey (68) (PL 17:59): Allergies healed.
39. Benedict (of Esther) (PL 18:177): Sties healed.
40. Zac Worder (PL 18:180): Nerve damaged in surgery healed.

45. Karen Tribes (PL 15:72): The Family has had some fruitful trips to the towns where the Karens live & was able to give classes at a Karen refugee camp. It has also resulted in a great witness to the local officials.
North America:
46. Simon & Trusts hospital bills: Several doctors have cancelled about half of their bills, & the income for the other half should be coming in soon, D.V.
47. New housing (PL 17:107): Much needed new housing was found in three major cities. The landlady at one property begged us to rent another house of hers at a very reasonable price.
48. P.A. systems & costumes for singing teams (PL 16:51): The Lord supplied $10,000 worth of sound equipment, as well as a $2,000 keyboard & material for costumes, for one of our concert teams.
49. California Homes (PL 17:104): Fruitful witnessing & ministering to the needy & homeless after the Los Angeles quake.
50. Mexican Fe was diagnosed by several doctors as having breast cancer, with a growth the size of an orange. When it came time to operate, the growth had shrunk to the size of a grape & was easily removed. It turns out it was a cyst. Fe has recovered & is healthy!
51. Paul Mark (7, of Steven & Gina) (PL 18:110): Completely recovered after ear operation.
52. Andrew (of Andrea) (PL 18:133): Nearly fully recovered from serious, lengthy bout of dengue fever.

76. Swiss Phoebe (PL 18:63): Deliverance from Hodgkins disease. For her encouragement, faith & strength as she is undergoing radiation therapy.
77. Gabriel (of Miracle, TSer) (PL 18:64): Deliverance from an advanced case of cancer. The doctors have only given him a few more days to live. That he will either have a speedy healing, or a painless, peaceful Homegoing and final deliverance. For extra strength and grace for Miracle and their children through this difficult time.
78. Liz Grey (68): Cervical cancer.
79. Faith (of Philip) (PL 18:67): Lump in her breast, which appears to be breast cancer. For speedy & miraculous healing, strength, faith & freedom from fear.
80. Lizzy (4, of Jerry & Julie): Under medical observation for a serious kidney malfunction which may require surgery. For a miracle healing, and special faith & strength for Lizzy & her parents. For the doctors' wisdom and anointing.
81. Suzy (of Jonathan and Clara): Hospitalised due to a serious illness; her condition is reported to be grave.
82. Renee (of Tim): Further traces of cancerous tissue found after radiation treatment. For faith, grace & healing.
83. Crystal (of Hab): Diagnosed as having a pre-cancerous stage of breast cancer. That it will heal and not develop into malignant cancer.
84. Steven Faith (PL 18:69): Continued healing of cancer & painful tumours in shoulder. Thank the Lord, he is doing well despite his sickness. We received the following inspiring testimony from Steven's Shepherdess: "As another testimony of the power of prayer, Steven Faith sent me a note to say that he had decided to go for a check-up, as his tumours have grown some & he has felt new ones. It was somewhat of a test for him. When the doctor saw him, he was amazed at how well & fit Steven was & he commented that it was nothing short of a miracle! We do not know the results of his tests yet. The tumours are definitely still there, but the miracle is that he doesn't feel them very much, he's very healthy & energetic & is able to carry his job as Teen & JETT Shepherd totally unhindered. PTL!"
DAD & MAMA:
85. Dads impacted wisdom tooth, which causes him occasional pain. Surgery would require removing not only the wisdom tooth but also the tooth next to it, so please pray that this tooth will cause him no more pain.
86. Dads cough, which wakes him up frequently.
87. For Mama, who has been exceptionally weak lately, which slows down the very important work that she has to do.
88. Secretary on Dad & Mamas staff with recurring migraine headaches.
WORLDWIDE
Parents & Children:
89. For the Lord to continue to raise up dedicated teachers who will make education their profession in the Family, & for the encouragement & appreciation of our present teachers. There is a particular need for men to answer the call to be teachers. For the Lord to also raise up more young people with a burden for this ministry, who will realise what an important calling it is.
90. That any weak areas in scholastics will be strengthened through extra tutoring or supplemental workbooks & study material.
91. That our parents & teachers can better learn how to use all the childcare material in the pubs.
92. For more Teen & JETT Shepherds, who will be on fire & lay down their lives for them & make the sacrifices that are required to help them through their learning & growing times.
93. That we can all work together to continue to resolve any problems that are burdening our young people, & bring about any further changes within the Family that may be necessary. For those going through tough times to have the faith, conviction & strength to hold on, particularly our young people. That we can become more fruitful in our outreach & happier in our Home life. That our adults will learn to relate to our young people better.
94. For any teen, JETT or OC camps, particularly those being held in Europe this Summer. For fruitfulness, that the young people attending will return to their Homes inspired & with a greater vision & desire to witness, follow Jesus & uphold the standard in their Homes.

As Grandmother said so long ago: "We greatly underestimate the importance of prayer, the power of prayer. Prayer can bring to pass everything that God has promised to do in His Word.I want to say that again, everything that God in His Word has promised to do, prayer can bring to pass! Just think of that for a moment. What glorious possibilities that opens up and what marvellous things could be accomplished!"
100. Summer Outreach (in the Northern Hemisphere): For fruitfulness, inspired witnessing, lots of fruit in souls & disciples won, contacts made, support raised, etc. That our young people & children will be able to get out as much as possible during the Summer school holiday months; that theyll be able to participate in exciting witnessing activities that will kindle their love for the lost & train them to be on-fire witnesses! Particularly for our European Homes who are making a special united witnessing push with lots of road teams for this Summer.
101. The Muslim ministries which are being pioneered in several countries; wisdom in learning how to approach & work with the Muslims.
102. Challenging, exciting new-bottle witnessing ministries & opportunities for our JETTs, teens & YAs to get involved with. That we will put in the necessary time & effort to properly train our teens & kids to witness.
103. Singing teams: That the Lord will supply openings & anoint their performances; supply of sound systems & costumes where necessary.
Shepherding & Home Affairs
104. Desperately needed finances for our Homes: That the Homes who are caught in a vicious cycle of raising their support on a hand-to-mouth basis will have breakthroughs in their tool distribution, follow-up & finding supporters, thus freeing them to devote more time to pioneer witnessing projects & train our young people.
105. WS Finances: Urgently needed funds for the many projects in the works, support of various pioneer & needy field ministries, etc. Please pray desperately for the Lord to continue to supply funds, to touch the hearts of friends to give, to bring in large inheritances or special gifts, or to miraculously supply in some other way.
106. Those involved in caring for our TS Family. For strength, wisdom, conviction, & Shepherds hearts for these dear TSers.
107. Our ministry with former members of the Family who are interested in renewing contact with the Family, fellowshipping with & visiting Homes again. For prayerfulness & wisdom in how to help them, answer their questions, soothe the past hurts some may have, help them forsake any bitterness, correct misunderstandings, & that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts.
108. For housing closer to large cities where our young people can have more access to fruitful witnessing spots.
Persecution & Media
109. Conference contacts: The Lords anointing & leading on Family representatives attending important conferences, that we will meet top people who can be won to our cause & will want to help us.
110. Family Homes hosting friends & visitors. For academics visiting Family Homes for studies of our group; good samples & good communication.
111. Several books that are being written about the Family by academics who have studied us & have a positive attitude towards us. The Lords anointing on the authors, that the books will be an accurate portrayal of our beliefs & lifestyle. For the books to be widely published & read, & counteract the slanderous literature about the Family by our enemies.
112. Against the efforts of certain antagonistic & biased newspaper & TV reporters who are on a propaganda campaign against us.
113. That the Family materials taken from the Manila Home will be recovered, & that the legal charges against Priebe (Hart) & Welsh (Sam Warner) & their cohorts will result in convictions.
114. Against Debs first book about the Family, that the Lord will halt its distribution & evil influence, as well as stop further anti-Family books by her or others, or reprints & translations of her present one.
115. Against Watchmans anti-Family documentary video, which he is still apparently trying to produce in an attempt to smear the Family.
116. For the Lord to thwart the efforts of the anti-cult groups who are trying to make inroads around the world, particularly in Russia & other EE countries. They have been holding seminars, in an attempt to stir up government action or legislation against small religious groups, including the Family. Also in the U.S. & elsewhere, CAN is trying to promote their experts to act as advisors to various government agencies & are taking their anti-cult message into the public schools. Please pray that we can influence the various government agencies to accept the real authorities on NRMs, & expose CAN & other anti-cult groups true colours.
117. The Lords anointing on the Polish Family as they take part in a documentary being produced on NRMs. That it will result in a factual & positive witness.
Court Cases
118. England: Most of the court hearings are now over. The Lord mightily anointed our dear witnesses to testify boldly & answer wisely under cross-examination, God bless them! Our victory in Melbourne should also have a positive influence on the judge in England. The court proceedings having nearly ended, he will be pondering Pearls case over the next few months before making his ruling. Mama recently commented, Please keep praying, because this will be a desperate last-ditch stand for the other side, who have a lot at stake. So this is a very crucial time, & far from letting down our guard because we have won a victory in Australia, we should pray even harder for this judge, that during this time away from our case the Lord will speak to him & definitely will give him some sign that we are righteous, & that the Family must be protected instead of endangered.And that the Lord will put it on his heart to do just that through the influence of his position.
Please desperately pray for the Lord to touch the heart of the judge to judge righteous judgment. That he will see through the lies & distortions of our enemies, & recognise the truth & our sincerity. Also that he will grasp the spiritual principles behind our beliefs. That the final submissions presented by our lawyers will have a positive effect on the Judge and persuade him to allow Sammy to remain with Pearl in the Family.
Legal team staff, as they close down their Home & move on now that their job is done. That they will be able to take care of all loose ends, move to their new situations & get readjusted in other Family Homes & ministries as soon & as easily as possible.
For Pearl, her brother Johnny, & all our witnesses to have time for a good strengthening & infilling of the Word. Pearl in particular has gone through a long ordeal of having to sit through nearly five months of almost daily court proceedings. That shell be able to rest in the Lords arms, get refreshed & refilled.

Against a documentary being prepared for British television by a producer who is very biased against the Family: that it will not be aired, or if it is, that it will not have a negative effect on the Familys ministry in the BI or our court case there. Also against a negative media storm that we have heard our enemies are trying to instigate that will coincide with the broadcast of this documentary.
119. Barcelona:
Against the appeals filed by the Barcelona District Attorney & the Catalonian government, which are pending before the Spanish Constitutional Court & the Spanish Supreme Court. One appeal concerns the criminal case, & the other the child custody case, both of which were won by the Family last year. The judges on both these courts will soon be deliberating these appeals, possibly in July. Please pray that they will rule to uphold the present court rulings in our favour, & that the appeals will be struck down. (See answered prayer #4.)
That our lawyers' written submissions to the Constitutional & Supreme Courts will turn the hearts of the judges towards the Family & inspire them to rule in our favour. Our case in the Constitutional Court is very important case & could set a precedent for home schooling in Spain.
That the Supreme Court, having received our lawyers' written submissions, will decide not to convoke a court hearing, but that they will go ahead and make their ruling in July, bringing the case to an end.
120. France:
A speedy end to our cases, as they have been dragging on without much progress. That they can be resolved before the courts Summer vacations, during which time its very difficult to get anything done.

Our appeal against Judge Permingeats (the minors judge) ruling: For the hearing of our appeal to be scheduled soon at the court of appeals; that we will be able to present our evidence of the good fruit of our Bible-based education; that Permingeats ruling to prolong the socialisation program (external weekly court-supervised activities for the children) for another year will be overruled.
Continued supply of funds needed for our defense.

That the appeal lodged by the District Attorney (in collaboration with Marquevich & other opponents) will be rejected by the Supreme Court. That the favourable ruling by the court of appeals exonerating the Family will be upheld & the whole case against us will be laid to rest.
For the Attorney General, who will be delivering his resolution at the end of July or early August to the Supreme Court, after which they will decide whether or not to accept the District Attorneys appeal against us. That the Attorney Generals resolution will be positive & influence the court in our favour.
That the re-examination of our case by a provincial court will result in a favourable conclusion similar to that of the court of appeals.

I was deeply impressed by the way Mama looks at our illnesses. Her comments in one of the recent Prayer Lists were so sweet & moved me to tears. I realised that the way Dad & Mama look at things is so positive. It was really beautiful how she saw the good in something that to me looked almost like a defeat! I think that a lot of us look at things in a completely different light than we should. For example, I had serious problems with asthma for most of my life, but by a miracle of the Lord Ive been healed & dont have it anymore.But I always did wonder why the Lord let me have it for so many years, especially when I was young. Now I see that it has brought me so much closer to the Lord, & through it I have learned to have compassion on the ones that dont feel so well or who have a long-standing illness. Im so thankful for His lessons, & for Dad & Mama who gently show us the right path to walk in, mostly just by their beautiful sample, God bless them!

The Prayer Lists have changed my life. Ever since the first Prayer List came out Ive felt they were such a big help in unifying us all in spirit. I found them encouraging & uplifting. I have been particularly touched by the various testimonies from the people who are writing about their different afflictions or their reactions. Two that have stood out to me are the recent one by Elizabeth Grey (PL#16) when she found out that she has cancer, & the one from Steven Faith (PL#17), who was also diagnosed as having cancer. They are so full of faith & positive that I couldnt help but be moved to pray for them.
Elizabeths reaction also helped me have more of the Heavenly vision which Dad so often talks about & lives. Somehow it helped Heaven feel even more real than before, & helped me look at death more positively & victoriously. Not that I was dreading it, but I would consciously put it out of mind whenever the thought would come to me. Stevens reaction moved me to also pray that I can be a sample & fighter in my daily life, as comparatively speaking my trials are nothing. Praise the Lord!

The letter from Steven Faith in Prayer List #17 was so convicting. It showed me how much of my time & energy is spent on my own personal problems when what really matters is pouring into our children & loving our brothers & sisters. Being an outreacher, I also see the need in my own life to give more of myself by pouring into the sheep & bringing them the Good New of Jesus Love as He would do if He were here in person.

Since we all wanted to walk more in the Spirit & depend on the Lord more, as well as get more done, we decided to have our Prayer Vigils first thing in the morning! We had always had a rather hard time scheduling them & sometimes they were neglected, as unexpected things would come up. As we were leaving them to the last part of the day, we were often tired when it was time to labour in prayer. Now we rotate the Prayer Vigil teams, & those who are on Vigil are exempt from the morning JJT duties while others take their jobs. So far it has been a real blessing, & we are confident we will see results!

When my 14-year-old son, Mike, developed a cyst on his lower lip, my first reaction was to pray & trust the Lord to take it away. After a while it started to grow rather large & was painful, & it stayed that way for some time. Doctors said that it had to be surgically removed & that it certainly wouldnt go away on its own. It seemed a rather straightforward procedure & I started leaning that way. However, Mike took a stand of faith & started reading on healing & trusting God. When I read some of the Letters on his reading list, they really talked a lot about trusting the Lord more than the doctor, & I wondered how I could encourage him to study these Letters & then go to the doctor. I felt like I needed to just pull back & let Mike have his own faith for his own healing. We sent in his name for the Prayer List & right after that the cyst started to go down. Now it has almost completely disappeared. What a miracle! I was glad I didnt let my ideas get in the way of Mike's own faith! Thank You Jesus!
Brief summary of the long-term Prayer List
As a reminder, we thought it might be helpful to include a brief summary of the main topics covered in the long-term list (PL 20). Hopefully this will come in handy to jog your memory in praying for these topics in case youre having prayer vigil & PL 20 is not available. However, this is not meant as a substitute for PL 20, so please try to refer to PL 20 for the specifics of each request.
In order to make sure that the prayer requests from the long term list are not forgotten, how about making it a prayer vigil habit to pray for at least two requests from the long term list every day, along with the other requests from the regular prayer lists? This way, you can be sure your Home has prayed for all the long term requests at least once every six weeks. Thank you! God bless you!
