Following are some of the victories and answers to prayer that have taken place since the last Prayer List, as well as more prayer requests that we would appreciate your effectual fervent prayers for.
This Prayer List is designed to be used with Prayer List 16, which contains the more long-term prayer requests from recent months. However, some of the prayer requests below under the "Worldwide" section are also long-term prayer requests--updates of the ones listed in PL 16. This is particularly true of the court case prayer requests. Please keep these legal situations in your desperate prayers, and we know the Lord will answer wonderfully, as He has in the past. Thanks! (From Maria:) Recently one of our Units sent me some prophecies they had received for a Home member with a long-term affliction who had requested prayer. I thought they were beautiful, and might be a big encouragement for some of our other Family Members who don't have life-threatening illnesses, but have longstanding problems that are annoying and worrisome and perhaps even painful, but which the Lord is using to help keep them close to Him.
We don't want to imply that everyone should apply these prophecies to themselves, since I don't think the Lord is necessarily ruling out medical treatment in everyone's case, not even in the case of the person below. However, for her the Lord made it clear that this route of faith was the thing that was most pleasing to Him. In the case of other folks, we don't know what the Lord might have in mind. He works differently with everyone! But some of you may find these prophecies very encouraging and applicable, and we pray for your continued health and happiness serving Him!

Prophecies:
Unto you that fear My name shall the Son of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings. Consider Him Who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself. Be not weary, nor faint in your mind. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Ye have not yet resisted as many others have. Let your love and your faith be increased as the light.

This affliction is a continual blessing that I have not removed from you, a continual shower of My blessings. Do not seek to be released, but sit at My feet and praise Me. Learn of Me the beautiful things I have for you through this, and praise Me for this opportunity. It is not such a big thing in My sight. It is but a little thing, a little door that I use to walk through into your heart, to have sweet fellowship and communion with you. Do not close this door or seek to have it hastily closed, but rejoice in this thing that I am doing.
I will heal you, but it must come in My time. Only rest in Me and let Me do this beautiful thing in your life that I seek to do. This opportunity comes but once in this manner. I deal with and bless each one with the opportunities that I have dealt out by My Own loving hand, suited and tailor-made for each one's life. And this is My blessing that I have tailor-made for you.

Faithful is He Who calleth you, Who also will do it. Ye would seek a quick healing, for many reasons. But if it were quick, I would not be able to draw you to My heart as I would like. It would be more noble, more mighty, more spectacular, but it would not produce the fruit that I want to bear in your life. Be not faithless, but believing, knowing this, that it is God that worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. For My ways are not grievous.
I would draw you unto Myself. Ye have had many opportunities to draw close to Me, but in this I have reached your heart, and I have drawn you closer than I was able to in other ways. So put the load at My doorstep, not only of the healing, but of the fear or worry, and I will bear that as well. And I will fill your heart with peace that passeth understanding. Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto Me, and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your heart and your mind.
ANSWERED PRAYERS: For All (OCs and under with guidance)
(Some of the answered prayers listed below were not mentioned as prayer requests in past Prayer Lists, but were prayed for locally. We've included them here for your encouragement, and to glorify the Lord for His marvellous faithfulness in answering prayer! Please remember to use wisdom and discretion in what you share with younger children.)
Dad:
1. Dad has continually been getting stronger, thank the Lord. Thanks for your prayers.
2. Dad was getting very hot in the night, and often woke up soaked with sweat, which drenched his sheets and bed. Afterwards he would be chilled, and had a hard time getting back to sleep. After Mama and some of the staff laid hands on him and prayed for him, he was healed and has been sleeping better.
3. Peter (PL 16:11) is feeling much better.
Worldwide:
4. A very fruitful Christmas outreach (PL 16:50): December 1993 was a whopper month, with worldwide distribution going up by 1/3, personal witnessing going up by 2/3, and souls won more than doubling compared to the previous month, as many received the best Christmas gift of all, Jesus!
We distributed a total of 13.5 million pages worldwide, which was 3 million pages more than November. Worldwide the Family appeared on 216 TV Shows, 194 Radio Shows, and in an untold number of newspaper articles, reaching 182 million via TV, 63 million via radio, and at least 83 million via newspapers and magazines! 1993's witness reached 5.54 billion!--Our biggest year in the last 9 years.
January 1994 was our 21st consecutive month with over 50 million total witness.--Stretching back to May of 1992 when the Australian raids took place! The Message is really getting out, and in the last two years the Family witness has been about 11% of our total witness to-date of 63.1 billion. So the Lord has certainly used our persecution as a catalyst to help us reach the World! Praise the Lord!
5. Branch Davidian trial (PL 17:82): The trial of 11 Branch Davidians ended with all acquitted of the most serious charges, seven convicted of lesser charges and four acquitted of all counts. If judged guilty of murder, they would have faced life in prison with no possibility of parole! Defense lawyers called it a victory for religious freedom.
6. Continued breakthroughs with the JETTs and Teens (PL 16:17): Lots of victories, in many Homes and areas.
7. Beautiful new housing (PL 16:83) in many parts of the World.
8. Victories in Argentina:
--We've received permission for 100 Family Members who were involved in the case in Argentina to travel out of the country. Judge Marquevich himself signed the papers! (PL 17:83)
--Since the release of the 21 adults from prison in December, we've had a good amount of fair or favourable news coverage. (PL 16:88)
--We've enjoyed good relations with favourable reporters and media contacts. We've had a number of good radio interviews, and a favourable 1-hour soap opera type drama (based on the raids) on prime-time TV. (PL 16:89)
--TELEFE, the primary TV station that aired our "dance videos" and smeared us in the September persecution, had a major fire, resulting in millions of dollars of damage. They were on our list of media outlets to sue, but it looks like the Lord started dealing with them first!
--Our legal team was able to secure very helpful information on what's going on behind the scenes. (PL 16:115)
--Our case has stayed with the appeals court rather than moving down to the lower provincial court. (PL 17:83)
--The social welfare department helped with funds needed to continue with 2-year-old Maria Clara's treatment, a total of over $3,000. (PL 17:83)
--The social welfare department is beginning to help with needed food supplies for the Homes. It supplied hundreds of dollars of food, including almost 100 kilos of powdered milk. (PL 17:83)
--The psychological tests which some of our children who were in institutions had to take came out very positive. Each of the forensic doctors' reports say that there are no psychological signs of abuse.
--More documents returned from the courthouse. (PL 17:83)
--A book by Baamonde, one of our main enemies and the head of an anti-cult group, was a real flop despite the funds the publisher invested in promoting it.
North America:
9. A bill in the U.S. Congress to limit home schooling was defeated after an avalanche of protests from home schoolers.
10. Witnessing after Los Angeles quake (PL 17:104): The Family was able to witness to many in the wake of the Los Angeles earthquake, being a tremendous testimony and blessing to the shelters where they ministered to the needy and homeless and won hundreds of souls. Those working side by side with our Teens and JETTs all expressed over and over how impressed they were with their dedication and sacrificial spirit.
11. Protection of our Family in Mexico from any adverse effects of the civil disturbances. (PL 17:118)
12. Sara of Jonathan (PL 17:138): Bone spurs in feet completely healed.
13. Naarah of Simon Black (PL 17:135): Back problems healed.
14. Florence (2, of Ira and Esther) (PL 9:97): Bowed legs completely healed, strong and healthy.
15. Rosita (PL 14:184): Placenta previa moved.
16. Jeho (PL 15:98): Ankle doing much better.
17. Amor's and Faith's legal situations being worked out. (PL 17:147).
18. Rose of Jay (PL 17:141): Asthma much better.
19. Meiling (15) (PL 17:145): Healed of migraine headaches.
20. Rebecca (PL 12:147): Knees healed.
21. Claire (JETT, of Praise): (PL 17:132) Gums healed and health improved.
22. Faith (of Amos) (PL 17:146): Lump under arm is not serious.
23. Andrew Greeneyes (PL 17 continued): Hernia better.
24. Joy (of Cris) (PL 17:127): Back pain nearly healed.
25. Paloma Fighter (PL 17:128): Circulatory problem much better.
26. Becky (PL 17:126): Back pain healed.
27. Marie-Anne (12, of Phoebe) (PL 12:154): No asthma attacks for several months, and eczema healed.
28. Michael (9, of Josh and Hope) (PL 14:175): Eye partially blinded due to paralysis much better and starting to see colour again.
29. Heaven (5, of David and Tirzah) (PL 14:174): Free of chronic mumps since her name appeared in the Prayer List.
South America:
30. Teens who were involved in car accident in Colombia are all doing very well and most are back to normal activities. Juan Andres is still undergoing therapy but will be out soon. (PL 17:61)
31. The Lord supplied five new houses to help decentralise present Homes and receive incoming personnel. (PL 17:153)
32. "Go to the Churches" ministry booming in several cities with many pastors being won, our tools being eagerly received, and a new wave of friends and supporters becoming interested in our Work. (PL 16:49)
33. Gentleness of Tiago: Easy pregnancy and safe delivery. (PL 15:107)
34. Joy Mercy: Amoebiasis (disease caused by amoebas) healed and delivery went well. (PL 15:128)
35. Caty (15, of Pancho and Suzy) recovered well from peritonitis after operation for ruptured appendix. (PL 17:156)
36. Cristina: Safe delivery and a healthy baby boy. (PL 17:160)
37. Theresa (14): Chronic ear infections ceased since sending in prayer request. (PL 17:161)
Europe:
38. Valentina (3 months, of Samuele and Lily) (PL 17:180): Growing stronger daily and eating and breathing better.
Pacific:
39. Brunella (1, of Miguel and Cherish) (PL 17:192): Born premature, Brunella only had a slim chance of life, and if she survived, she could have been both physically and mentally handicapped. However, at a recent checkup, the eye doctor said her eyesight is perfect, the brain doctor said there's absolutely no problem with her brain, and the therapist said that she's an average child as far as her motor development and she should be able to walk soon!
40. Peace (PL 17:197): Despite the tumours on her womb, Peace had a healthy baby and delivery without any problems. Doctors said the tumours have now become smaller.
41. Jojo (5, of Luke and Ruth) (PL 17:199): Asthma much better.
42. Makun (11, of Nathan and Rejoice) (PL 17:201): Had serious recurring nose infection, but now much better.
Asia:
43. Earthquake relief work (PL 16:61): In one of our "Consider the Poor" outreaches, the Family sent a team to help with disaster relief at a recent earthquake. They were able to provision hundreds of school books and a multitude of school supplies, clothing and an army tent to take to the needy at the earthquake site. While there, they not only cared for and comforted the victims, but also pitched in with whatever physical work needed to be done. The head of the Red Cross at the site commented, "You're like Angels here, and are truly Children of God."
44. Pakistan (PL 14:152): Political stability greatly improved.
45. Teens Mary, Dominic, John, and Jim (of Lily) (PL 17:92): Asthma. All have greatly improved.
46. Magdalene (YA) (PL 17:101): Placenta previa healed.
47. Karen tribes (PL 15:72): A fruitful witness continues to the tremendously receptive Karens. Those on the most recent trip spent much time pouring into the teachers of a Karen Bible school and ministering to a group of their YAs.
48. Laos (PL 15:73): Regular road teams continue with a fruitful witness.
49. Renee (of Tim) (PL 17:60): Recovering very well from operation to remove a cancer.
50. Tim Servus (PL 17:94): Weak and painful elbows, doing much better.
51. Natalie (of Jason and Sara) (PL 14:137): Cyst over her left eye disappeared.
52. Thai Timothy (PL 17:96): Complete restoration of hearing after ear infection.
53. Angel (13, of Joan and Japheth) (PL 17:100): Dry skin on feet and hands doing much better.
54. Lydia (16, of Adam and Divina) (PL 17:93): Hearing greatly improved.
55. Crystal (of Paul) (PL 14:133): Healed of coughing at night.
56. Mike (12, of John and Dawn) (PL 17:102): Cyst on lower lip completely disappeared.

58. Faithy Singaporean (PL 15:83): Chronic stomach ulcers greatly improved.
59. Jonathan David (9, of Tim and Marie) (PL 17:90): Frequent headaches much less severe.
60. Michael Little Bear (PL 14:122): Varicose veins, painful joints and headaches much better.
61. RK, very close friend (81 years old) (PL 14:120): Has been having very good health since being on the Prayer List.
62. Lily (of Andrew) (PL 15:76): Complete recovery after operation.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
CRITICAL OR LIFE-&-DEATH SITUATIONS: (For age 14 and over.)
63. Phoebe (PL 11:143): Complete and speedy deliverance from Hodgkin's disease, a form of cancer. For her encouragement, faith and strength as she recently had a relapse and has started a second round of radiation therapy.
64. Gabriel of Miracle (PL 17:58): Complete deliverance from cancer. His condition has taken a turn for the worse. He is weaker and more tired all the time, and the cancer is now spreading throughout his lymphatic system.
65. Thai Abe, who has a brain tumour which has caused seizures. That the Lord will heal and deliver Abe from this tumour, strengthen his faith, encourage him, and lead Abe in his decision regarding possible surgery.
66. Liz Grey (68) (PL 17:59): Cervical cancer.
67. Faith (of Philip): Lump in her breast, which appears to be breast cancer. For speedy, miraculous healing, strength, faith, and freedom from fear.
68. Renee (of Tim): Final steps of healing of cervical cancer, as well as for faith and trust. Also for a continued fruitful witness to the hospital staff. See Answered Prayer #49.
69. Steven Faith (PL 15:60): Painful cancerous tumours in his shoulder.

72. For our teens who have left the Family: That we can help them and show them that we still love them. Also, that they will make the right choices in their work and relationship with the Lord and the Family, and return to the Family if it's the Lord's Will.
73. That our children and young people will get the kind of quality Word time they need, as well as get the time they need for Word time and quiet places to take it; also that the Family will learn to present the Word in a more exciting way to our young people; that our teens and YAs will learn to go to the Word for solutions to their problems and in turn be able to point their younger brothers and sisters to the Word.
74. That our Family adults, YAs and teens, especially the men, will be willing and able to change their attitudes and perceptions in respect to how they view childcare and teaching, which isn't just menial labour or women's work, but the most important job we have. That the Lord will raise up more male teachers for different school groups.
Health:
75. All those who experience migraine headaches.
76. Healing for all those afflicted with arthritis.
Outreach, Follow-up and New Disciples:
77. Outreach and follow-up: Breakthroughs in outreach, to make new contacts, friends and kings; to increase our faith mightily and for conviction to get out and do it and make it work.
78. "Consider the Poor" ministries: Continued fruitfulness, abundant support and supply.
79. Prison and Juvenile Delinquent ministry: For lasting fruit, and good follow-up of all those ministered to so far.
80. For our nationals' and new disciples' training and spiritual growth; that they will have a strong hunger for the Word.
Shepherding, Finances, and Home Affairs:
81. WS has an urgent need for funds, or we may have to start cutting back some monthly services. Please pray desperately for the Lord to continue to supply funds, to touch the hearts of friends to give, to bring in large inheritances or special gifts, or to miraculously supply in some other way.
82. For our Homes to be very prayerful and careful regarding the oversight of their finances and reserve funds.
83. Funds for emergency medical treatment: The Lord's supply for medical emergencies such as Caesareans, tubal pregnancies, burns, accidents, unexpected operations, etc. Emergency Caesareans cost $10,000 in some countries, and worldwide we often encounter such bills. For miraculous income to cover such expenses, or that the physicians involved will donate or discount their services.
84. Suitable new housing: That the Lord will raise up good housing with large grounds, a good location, friendly neighbours, and a good rent. Also that the landlords can accept us as the Family and enjoy good relations with us.
85. Personnel changes or brethren returning to their home fields: That each team will land in the proper place; for the Lord's supply of needed funds to be able to move on to their new locations. For all those concerned to be able to obtain necessary visas and get their legal paperwork in order with no problems.
WS Units, Pubs and Tools:
86. Against equipment breakdowns in any of our audio or video studios, NPCs, pubs centers or Units labouring to get the Word and tools out to the World.
87. Current Issues Songwriting Project: WS songwriters' work on the writing of new songs on topics such as drugs, guns, homelessness, debt, religious wars, the environment, and other such ills and crises that are plaguing the World today--new songs which will also include the Lord's solution, to be recorded for our worldwide Family's outreach to an increasingly lost and desperate World! Persecution:
88. That our lawyers will continue to be open and receptive to our counsel, especially regarding the importance of stressing religious freedom in our cases; also that they will have the time to read the different materials pertaining to our cases that we supply them with. For the salvation of some of our lawyers who are very near the Kingdom.
89. Opposition lawyers: That the Lord will confuse, confound, humble, and totally muddle them, so that whatever questions they throw at us end up being a wonderful springboard for us to witness the truth, expose the hypocrisy of our enemies, and win the heart of each of the judges involved.
90. For our contacts with government agencies: that they will treat us with the same objectivity as they would other citizens, so our missionaries will be able to go about their job of preaching the Gospel for as long as possible.
91. That the friendly academics studying us will become more and more familiar with the beliefs, lifestyle and workings of the Family, especially those who may be testifying on our behalf. Also that the Lord can free them from some of their other commitments so that they can devote more time to the Family.
92. For academic friends to be vindicated and win a victory in a lawsuit being brought against them by anti-cult activists in the U.S.
Court Cases:
93. Pearl's court case in England. Please pray:
--That the Lord will touch the heart of the judge "to judge righteous judgement," and to be able to see through the lies and distortions of our enemies, and recognise the truth and sincerity in our witnesses. Also that he will grasp the spiritual principles behind our lifestyle.
--Our witnesses--for clarity, honesty, conviction and a powerful witness.
--Our lawyers--for boldness, conviction, wisdom and fight.
--Continued supply of funds needed for Pearl's legal defense.
--For Pearl's mother, that the Lord will miraculously change her heart, so that she will see the error of her ways, and how she is being manipulated by our enemies.
--The prosecuting lawyers, that the Lord will confound their attempts to discredit us, and that their attacks will turn to our victory.
--That the Lord will discredit the witness of our enemies and make them ashamed and confounded. That their true colours may be revealed to the judge and public.
--That the other side will not be allowed to submit any more "evidence" or witnesses, and that they will not come up with any other "angles" from which to attack us.
"There have been countless times in history when men and women have kept their fighting spirit in the face of almost insurmountable odds!--And survived! If they could display such faith and determination and courage while fighting with earthly weapons for worldly causes, how much more should we, God's special Endtime forces, exhibit the will to fight to the End without hesitation and without compromise, knowing that whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's, and we too will survive.--Romans 14:8." 94. Melbourne court case: After six days of trying to mediate between the Family and Community Services, the convener, an ex-Supreme Court judge (of that state), declared that the mediation was unsuccessful; thus the full-blown court case is now in its preliminary stages. Please pray for our Family in Melbourne and for our lawyers there.
Please keep both the Melbourne and London court case teams and lawyers in your daily prayers, and also pray for a positive outcome in both of these cases, as these are very great and serious battles. The Lord has promised victory, but said that the victory would come through our prayers.
Please pray for:
--An extra dose of spiritual strength for those involved in the case as it starts.
--Greater dependence on prayer and the Word for the victory.
--That our Family in Melbourne can be strong witnesses and have great conviction about our Family standard.
--The Lord's continuous miraculous supply as the case begins.
--Our provisioning and other contacts in Melbourne, that they can stand strong in their support of us and not be swayed by possible lies about us in the media.
--The judge: That he will be anointed of God to judge righteous judgement, despite his difficult position of having to listen to the hate propaganda of our enemies during the prosecution's opening statement and the hearing.
--Positive media coverage during the court case, and good relations with the reporters who will be covering it. Please pray that the judge will have the conviction to suppress in the media anything brought up in court that could be stigmatizing for the children.
--Anointing, strength, wisdom and unity for our lawyer team.
--Our follow-up team, their anointing and organisation. That we can get in touch with more academics and well-placed, respected and influential people who would be willing to stand up on our behalf.
--For an objective information group on NRMs to be set up in Australia.
--A very dear sociologist friend and his wife who recently lost one of their children in a drowning accident; that the Lord will comfort their hearts and help us to be a comfort and blessing to them at this time.
--The setting up of our national singing team; housing and equipment for them.
Please pray against:
--Negative worldly influences in the adults, teens and JETTs' lives, which have come in through the court case, due to increased pressure from the outside world to conform to their ungodly ways.
--That the Lord will both confound and discredit the opening statement of our opposition, an array of false allegations and so-called concerns which may take up to four days.
--An anti-cult conference planned in Sydney in the next couple of months.
--The media attention that cult-bashers are receiving following a new anti-cult book.
95. Argentina court case. Please pray for:
--The completion of the legal process that our Family is involved in, and their full vindication.

96. Barcelona court case: After our acquittal was handed down by the provincial criminal court in Barcelona last July, the District Attorney of Barcelona, who is the main one fighting us, submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court. At the Supreme Court the evidence and arguments in the appeal and defense are limited to the evidence and documents already in the case. In other words, no new evidence is admitted--the whole process is a review of the verdict given by the lower court, with the prosecuting attorney trying to show that the verdict was wrong because of such-and-such "evidence," which was presented during the previous trial, or pointing out irregularities in the judge's handling of the case. This hearing will take place in May or June, D.V. Please pray for the wisdom, skill and anointing of our lawyers, the fairness of the judges, and that this will be a further resounding victory for the Family!
97. French court case: The minors judge in Aix has decided to prolong the "socialisation" program which our children must attend for one more year (outside activities paid for by the authorities, plus visits from social workers). Our lawyers said they feel that the authorities are stalling--hoping some new evidence will turn up, as the criminal case is still pending. We are appealing the judge's ruling. Please pray for the appeal to be granted so that our Family in France will be free of the heavy burden of official oversight and meddling in their lives; also that the courts will grant the different families permission to leave France, that our case will be closed, and that all of our remaining funds that were seized will be returned.
NORTH AMERICA:

98. Older Christian friends suffering a number of afflictions. That the Lord will deliver the wife from painful arthritis in her neck, back and legs. For the husband's right eye, that he will regain his eyesight and be healed of a persistent cough. They have been faithful and tenacious defenders of our Family to the church people they minister to, and dearly love us, especially our teens.
99. For the Family's association and interaction with a religious leader to be fruitful; that he will get more and more involved in helping us to be understood, thus enabling us to have profitable dialogue with organised religion.
100. Brother Thomas: That he will grow even closer to the Lord and the Family; protection against any attacks of the Enemy.
101. Paula (Bithia): A former enemy who has had a change of heart and now faithfully stands up for the Family, and has even testified on Pearl's behalf in her court case. Deb, Bill and Sam Ajemian are doing their best to vilify her in the eyes of other enemies, ex-members, the anti-cult movement, and her own children. She is facing intense persecution for choosing to defend the Family, and has requested prayer for strength, faith, grace, conviction, wisdom and help for the daily battles she faces. She has also asked to be delivered from carnal thinking and reasoning.
102. Friendly theologian (a hemophiliac) who is HIV positive: For his health, healing and encouragement, and for him and his wife to draw closer to the Lord through this.
103. The Navy Ministry: Strength for our catacombers, for security, their strength in the face of heavy persecution and even physical attacks.
104. Aaron Fighter: Black discoloration of tissue on his forehead that the doctors say could possibly become malignant and be life-threatening.

Although partially healed, she asked if we could continue to pray as she has had a relapse of fatigue and dizziness as a result of her thyroid.

145. For our European teens who are still pondering their commitments to the Lord and the Family: That the Lord will punch through and touch the hearts and lives of these teens so they can make a real commitment to the Lord, and that they will fall deeply in love with Jesus and His Word. Also, for the shepherds who are caring for them to have the love, patience, and conviction needed to help pull each one through.
146. Investigation in Europe: Due to a sudden attack of negative articles, government authorities in one country instigated an official investigation of our Home. Social Services workers questioned Family Members in detail about both our daily lives and beliefs. The Lord has used this situation to be a testimony to the workers and we have gotten some very favorable publicity through this action.
As part of the investigation, a school inspector was sent to look into the schooling of our children. He was very impressed and interested, and confirmed that we, through our Home School and way of life, seemed to have found answers to things they were struggling with in the public school system. He also commented that he was glad to see that we were teaching our Christian beliefs to our children, as he sees public schooling as being quite weakened by being so objective and not having opinions about different issues.
Please pray that the report that Social Services is writing after thoroughly investigating and interviewing a number of our families will be fair and accurately portray that we are innocent of the outlandish lies that an anti-cult group is trying to spread about the Family. That the Lord will judge this group (FRI) for attacking us, and that the Lord will vindicate the Family and use this as a tool to reach that country as never before, winning new friends and supporters.
147. Lord's supply of needed materials to continue ministering to the Bosnian refugees. For more labourers with a special burden for the refugee ministry, and for physical and spiritual protection for all of our brethren working in the camps.
148. Political stability in the former Soviet Republics: That we can continue ministering there as long as possible.
149. Pioneering of the former Southern Soviet Republics: For contacts, wisdom in winning Muslim friends, and a breakthrough in getting longer visas.
150. Continued religious freedom in Hungary: That proposed legislation which would restrict religious freedom would not be voted into law. That a court case involving the Jehovah's Witnesses will have a positive outcome for religious freedom. That the present government clampdown on the media won't affect us nor our freedom to openly witness.

He stood with us during our trial, and now it is our chance to stand with him in prayer at this trying time in his life.)
164. Chinese Jenny: Her paperwork for coming to Japan has been held up for a year. That she will be able to come very soon.
165. Leilani (newborn of Miguel and Cherish): Hypothyroidism (a sickness of the thyroid gland). Doctors originally said her case was serious, but later tests revealed her condition has greatly improved.

PRAYER LIST REACTIONS AND PRAYER TIME POINTERS! For All
From Comfort, Rebecca, Shawn and Joy, North America:
Ever since we put up an 8-foot long "Prayer Board" (a white board) on our living room wall, the Lord has been answering prayer like never before! It really helps us pray more and for more things. We had been having such a tough time provisioning, but once the board was up and generating more prayer power, the Lord just started pouring it on! Thank You Jesus!
From David and Charity, Europe:
During his eye examination, one of our OC boys, Valiant, was found to have a swollen optic nerve which leads to the brain. The doctor said that it was very dangerous, as in the event that the nerve burst from the swelling, he could die instantly. Because of the seriousness of the situation, the doctor ordered a complete brain scan for Valiant the very next day. We had immediate desperate prayer with the adults in the Home, that they would find nothing in the brain scan and that he would be perfectly normal. After the scan the next day, the doctor said that the readings showed that Valiant was perfectly normal, with no swollen nerves or anything wrong!

I have found the Prayer List a big help in my prayer life. It helps me to appreciate the good health the Lord blesses me with and not get so discouraged about my minor afflictions. It also gives me the compassion to pray for others and helps me to have more perseverance in my praying for things, seeing how others fight in prayer.

We wrote down the prayers from the "Persecution Jewels" Letters, and put them on cards and use them sometimes as part of our united prayers for countries suffering persecution. They are so powerful and really help to prime the pump!

Being a school Home and having quite a few kids to care for, we've been finding it difficult to have a regular prayer vigil schedule. We have, however, come up with an idea that involves the whole Home on the prayer vigil schedule. We have a school bell that the groups take turns in ringing every hour, and at the ringing of the bell, everyone stops what they're doing, chooses the nearest person for a prayer partner, and takes a minute to pray together for the different prayer subjects of the day. So far, we've been pretty faithful to do this, and it's helping us all to keep in a more prayerful attitude.

We were having difficulty being faithful with our daily Prayer Vigils and decided we should organize a clear file containing the Prayer Lists in an effort to make it easier for everyone to be good. It's now divided into 3 parts: 1. Answered Prayers--this has the FUNs and Prayer Lists to read before and while praying. 2. Promises--a little "Prayer Vigil Promises" booklet and some photocopied sheets of promises to claim. 3. Prayer Requests--this section is divided into Worldwide and National, and again divided into sections enough for one day's vigil. There's also a record sheet to record your name, date, and the section prayed for that day to make it clear for the next team.

Our Happy Heart group (ages 5-7) have a prayer list and have faithfully prayed for needs for the Home, which they cross off once answered. One day, James, one of these children, prayed for "cornflakes" although this wasn't on the Home's list. His teacher at first felt like, "Come on, James, pray for one of our `important' needs." But the Lord reminded her of the "Shoo-fly Pie" testimony, and she decided not to discourage him from praying for something he had the faith for! He continued to pray for this, until two days ago a contact asked if our children would like some cornflakes and delivered several cases to our Home!

When we received GN 574 I was convalescing with a newborn. So when I read Mama's message to our girls in prison in Argentina about being our special prayer warriors, I decided to take up the challenge too. I posted Mama's prayer list beside the armchair where I often sit to nurse the baby, so it was a constant reminder for me to uphold them in prayer (as well as the other situations she mentioned). Even though I was a little bit removed from the front lines, it made me feel like I had an important part, not only as a new mommy but also as a special prayer warrior. God bless Mama, who's always encouraging us to pray!
