Dear Family,
THANK YOU for your never-failing prayers, which have resulted in souls saved, bodies healed, spirits renewed, legal victories won, and enemies put to flight! Once again we can write "tried and proven" by the Scriptural promise that "this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His Will, He heareth us. And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."--1John 5:14,15. Praise the Lord!
In this particular Prayer List, there may seem to be a lot of prayer requests for our precious children. But are there really? Let's examine this for a minute. If we go through the List and check the prayer requests, there are 140 healing requests for full-time Family Members. Only 60 of them are for children, which is about 40 percent of the total. So even though our children make up two-thirds of the Family, they suffer a far smaller percentage of afflictions or problems.
If we compare these 60 afflictions to the 6,000 or more children in the Family, that's only 1 percent of our children who have health problems serious enough to be put on the Prayer List, or one out of every 100 children. Even if we double or triple that figure to account for people who may not have written in, that's only 2 or 3 percent of our total population of children, or one "affliction" for every 30 or 40 Family children at the most. While we don't have any statistics for the World to compare these figures with, our Family children probably suffer far fewer afflictions than their counterparts in society at large.
The fields with the most physical afflictions among children are the poorer countries of Asia and South America, while the more modern Western fields of North America and Europe list the least problems among their children. So some of our children's problems apparently result from our Family Members living in poor Third World countries where conditions aren't as clean and disease is more widespread. This can't be helped, since we're a worldwide organisation of nearly 100 nationalities, living in scores of countries, and many of our missionary works have more nationals than foreigners. Our nationals in these countries can't simply decide to go live someplace where it's cleaner! However, most of our Homes in these poor mission fields go to great lengths to protect their children from disease. Dad has certainly written lots of Letters on health and hygiene in our 25-year history, and it's his teaching and counsel that has enabled us to stay as healthy as we are, thank the Lord!
(Maria: In the System there are all kinds of problems due to accidents--stitches, operations required, broken bones--which, thank the Lord, we have very few of. Even though our children are very active and have constant interaction with each other, they have very few problems along that line. The Lord has been merciful, and those caring for our children have been watchful and prayerful, God bless them!
(I wouldn't say that most of our kids have anything too drastic or serious, although any physical ailment seems serious to the person who has it. The majority of our ailments are not serious or life-threatening, but for the ones who are experiencing them, they are painful and difficult to go through. But for the System, the majority of the things listed here would probably not be looked upon as very serious.
(Many children in the System suffer far worse and more serious ailments, but they keep a lot of their ailments suppressed with all kinds of drugs and medications, so on the surface things might not look as bad as they really are. Our parents and children are open in asking for prayer when they need it, and "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." We have a lot of answered prayers and miraculous healings.--As well as the Lord's great protection from many diseases and accidents! Praise the Lord!)
Following are some of the victories and answers to prayer that have taken place since the last Prayer List, as well as more "petitions" that we would appreciate your help in bringing before the throne of grace during your times of prayer.
This Prayer List is designed to be used with Prayer List 16, which contains the more long-term prayer requests from recent months. However, some of the prayer requests below under the "Worldwide" section are also long-term prayer requests--updates of the ones listed in PL 16. This is particularly true of the court case prayer requests. Please keep these legal situations in your desperate prayers, and we know the Lord will answer wonderfully, as He has in the past. Thanks! ANSWERED PRAYERS: For All

(Some of the answered prayers listed below were not mentioned as prayer requests in past Prayer Lists, but were prayed for locally. We've included them here for your encouragement, and to glorify the Lord for His marvellous faithfulness in answering prayer! Please remember to use wisdom and discretion in what you share with younger children.)
Dad
1. Dad recently had flu-like symptoms, at which time those with him prayed for him to be healed, and he woke the next morning completely free of any signs of the illness, which could have been quite serious and could've lasted for days. (PL 16:4)
Worldwide
2. Argentina court case victories (PL 16:120):
As you know, all 21 of our imprisoned adults were released from jail on Dec.13. This is truly a miracle, since people have been known to stay in jail for years before coming to trial in Argentina.
All the mommies and children released from the institutes were home for Christmas and New Year's holidays.
Favourable media coverage since the release of the brethren from the jail and institutions. In December, when we were released, media coverage was about 90% favourable, as opposed to September, when it was just the opposite. This good publicity has had a definite influence on public opinion, so that now 75% basically believe our side of the story, although some may have their reservations. Considering how black things looked months ago when the persecution started, this is nothing short of a miracle and a direct answer to our worldwide Family's prayers.
Maria Clara (2, of Mateo and Brunhilda): Her operation went well and without any complications. She is at home and recovering well. The institution where she and her mother were detained paid for the expenses--over $8,000! Another Romans 8:28.
All names, phone numbers and addresses of current provisioning contacts were taken out of the Home one day before the raids. Thus they didn't fall into our enemies' hands.
Provisioning contacts are giving more than before.
Most of the personal documents of Family Members which the court had been holding have now been returned to us.
3. In England, the Lord supplied the funds for Pearl to continue to have legal representation in her case. (PL 16:121) Also, Social Services visited the Home where Pearl and Sammy live, and the visit went well. They seemed to be impressed and were somewhat embarrassed for having to come in and investigate us. Educational inspectors also visited the Home, checked the teaching and the children's work, and their contact with the children went very well. While they were there, the JETTs put on a play that they had been working on, "Scrooge's Christmas," and the head inspector was so impressed with the work that they had done on it and their performance that he said, "This play speaks volumes."
4. Family declared innocent in Peru. After a 3-month investigation which the Peruvian Family asked the District Attorney to initiate, the DA stated that not a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing was found. Results of physical and psychological tests done on over 40 children--ages 3 months to 17 years--all attested to the excellent care which our children receive. The verdict received extensive publicity.
5. Paul Silver exonerated in separate Melbourne case. (PL 11:139) Paul had faced criminal charges of hindering Sergeant Gibbs in his line of duty during the May, 1992, raid on his Home. The judge ruled that Paul had merely voiced his protests and asked questions, as anyone would have in those circumstances. In additional comments, the judge declared that considering the massive police and community services assault on our houses, the adults had shown extraordinary restraint. The police had to pay the court costs, which was the judge's way of telling them they should never have brought the case to court.
6. Protection from the quake. The Los Angeles Homes are all OK after the recent earthquake, thank the Lord! One Home was only about 10 miles from the center of the quake but suffered no damage at all.
7. Judgements against our enemies (PL 16:105):
In the Australian media, H&CS (formerly CSV) in Melbourne has been coming under attack lately for its incompetency, as well as gross mismanagement of its personnel and public funds. This is truly an answer to prayer, as the Lord works from the inside to cause internal decay and public exposure, giving us more ammo to fight back against their attacks on us. A recent prime-time TV show talked about our case, and the lack of evidence against the Family, even after 20 months. They also quoted from a Board of Education report about how happy and well-adjusted our children are. Praise the Lord!
In Argentina, protests exploded in three state capitals on the very day that our enemies were about to once again try to smear us on local TV shows. The riots got top coverage, confounding the plans of our enemies.
8. The message gets out in academic circles (PL 16:102,103): A friendly academic has told us that the Family is now the hottest research topic of any new religious group, and that we can expect many studies and papers on us and our way of life soon. A religious historian wants to commit himself to writing a 350 to 400-page book on us to give the history of the Family, as well as an analysis of what we are doing today.--Also to counteract false allegations of child abuse and other charges, and show the history of persecution.
Another scholar and writer is very interested in our Millennial and Endtime Posters and the Message on the back. He said he might print some of our black and white posters along with the message in his monthly newsletter.
Another scholar first met us when he was 8 years old. Someone gave him the Letter "The Land of Not Too Much." He said he liked it so much he almost memorised it, and was happy to finally meet us again.
9. A journalist who had written against us in 1971 wrote a favourable article after meeting us, a powerful defense of the Family's right to work and believe as we choose. He made a sweet confession that he was wrong to judge us and write against us in 1971, and then went on to stress that he found us sincere in our convictions, with simple faith and service to the community, and that we have every right to try to live like the Early Apostles.
10. AAC activist set free. A radical Christian activist, imprisoned for five years by the U.S. government, has been paroled.
11. New lawyers (PL 16:93): Good contact with a lawyer who is considered to be the top civil and human rights advocate in his country, a man who has fought and won quite a few "impossible" cases. He really liked us and told us that we could "count on him" if any trouble hits.
12. A friendly psychologist visited one of our Homes and was able to do evaluations on the children there. (PL 16:104) Neither she nor her 15-year-old daughter wanted to leave, as they fell in love with the Family and the Home. She was impressed and said that our kids were well above normal.
13. In Lyon, France (PL 15:12), when the minors judge closed the case against one of our families, he stated in his summation: "The children are intelligent, communicative and show absolutely no signs of psychological or psychiatric disorder. The parent-children relations are rich, sincere and strong. The conclusion is that there is therefore no need for involvement by the children's court."
Asia
14. Victory in the Philippines (PL 15:69): After a senate hearing on the Family in Manila, which included a showing of our old dance tapes, the Family hit virtually every paper, most of them as front page news. Overall the coverage was fair, and the main message broadcast was that the tapes were unsubstantiated evidence. The headlines were pretty sensational, and all mentioned sex in one way or another, but it was the fairest coverage we'd ever received. The following day we were not mentioned in any paper at all and the story has died down.
15. Pakistan (PL 14:152): Political stability greatly improved.
16. Stevie and Ruthie's baby (PL 15:82) was born with some birth defects and graduated the following day. Though this has been a very difficult experience for Stevie and Ruthie, they are relieved that the baby is now with the Lord and his suffering is over. The Lord used this to bring about a real closeness and sweetness in the spirit among the local Family.
17. Joan (of James) (PL 15:77): Completely healed of serious illness.
18. Esther Praise (PL 15:79): Completely healed of gastritis (inflammation of the stomach).
19. Shanti (2-1/2) of Mark and Faith (PL 15:80): Tonsillitis much better.
20. Daniel (PL 12:84): Leprosy improving.
21. Abner Happy (PL 14:117): Swelling in legs subsided.
22. Magdalene YA (PL 15:71): Pregnancy progressing well and bleeding completely stopped, gaining weight and is much healthier.
23. Lily (14) of Tim and Lily (PL 14:150): Eczema almost completely healed.
24. Sarah (17) of Dan and Tender (PL 14:151): Facial scars have healed remarkably and her neck muscles greatly strengthened.
25. Willing, James, Paul (PL 15:70): Back problems improving.
26. Leah of Nathan (PL 14:141): Varicose veins much better.
27. Priscilla (PL 14:143): Her leg is feeling stronger and has improved.
28. Crystal (PL 14:133) is doing much better (had swallowing problems and cough).
North America
29. Christmas Outreach (PL 16:50): The Homes had one of their most fulfilling and fruitful Christmases ever, with many shows, performances and thousands of tools out and souls won. The Lord led some of our teens to go carolling in a certain neighbourhood, and to their surprise, found that George and Barbara Bush lived there. They were invited in to sing for the Bushes, who remembered the Family from Miami and received a Christmas Kiddie Viddie.
30. Favourable media (PL 16:90): After months of preparation, a favourable four-part series on the Family was aired on a local TV station. The final segment was a thrilling explanation of our Endtime message which included clips from "20 Minutes to Go." Numerous favourable newspaper articles have come out in several U.S. and Mexican cities.
31. Reconciliation with ex-members (PL 16:114): Paula (Bithia) has continued to grow closer and be strengthened by the Word, and we have opened new lines of communication with other ex-members.
32. Local mail ministry is going well (PL 16:65): After we had been faithfully feeding the meat of the Word to all the contacts in one city, one man sent a check for $500!
33. New Housing (PL 16:83): A new house was rented in an area where the Family had been desperately looking.
34. Dulce (of Rufus) (PL 16:14): Safe delivery of her seventh child. The Lord healed Dulce's bleeding bladder as soon as the baby was born.
35. Dawn (PL 14:171): Healing of high blood pressure.
36. Victor (PL 14:173): Ears healed.
37. YA Jason of Christy: Healing of a torn ligament in his leg. (PL 14:165)
38. Andrew: Healed of scoliosis (curvature of the spine).
39. Marianne (of Phoebe) (PL 12:154): No asthma attacks for over a month.
40. Clare Promise: Healed of cysts on her ovary that had grown to the size of a grapefruit. After only one month, tests showed no trace of the cysts, to the amazement of the doctors and technicians.
South America
41. Setup of two Media Homes (PL 14:200) with the needed personnel and equipment.
42. John Paul (6, of Matt and Joy) (PL 14:197): Asthma better.
43. Simon (10, of Paul and Rebecca) (PL 15:109): His leg has healed naturally despite the doctors' saying the area of third degree burns would require a skin graft. The doctor exclaimed, "Simon's is a special case!--He has healed in one week what usually takes 3 weeks to heal!" Also, the Lord supplied the amount needed to pay Simon's bill, which the hospital agreed to lower considerably, in answer to prayer.
44. Zeb (PL 14 continued) has not had any asthma attacks lately, except for slight wheezing sometimes.
45. Lynn (PL 15:47): Swelling and other circulation problems completely stopped. She has also had significant weight loss.
Europe
46. Very fruitful Open House for Christmas (PL 16:50) in an East European country where 130 people attended. A close friend videoed the whole program and showed 15 minutes of it on his cable TV network over Christmas.
47. David (of Phebe) (PL 12:213): Back problem completely healed.
48. Phebe (of David) (PL 15:131): Pregnancy doing much better and is now progressing well and normally.
49. Joanna (4) of David and Sara (PL 12:205): Her injured eye has improved miraculously and there is a good possibility her sight can be restored.
50. Crystal (21) (PL 15:57): Miraculous recovery after almost a year of being bedridden. Is now able to walk with a crutch and even climb three flights of steps.
51. Marie French (of Stephen): Healed of a painful aching in her body and continual headaches.
52. Joanna (3) of David and Dove (PL 14:218): Eczema is much better.
53. Becky (PL 15:132): Internal bleeding stopped, intense pain in her abdomen is gone, and she is now well after suffering for weeks from an ailment doctors could not diagnose. The "Great Physician" took care of it.
Pacific
54. Joanne (of Mike) had a baby boy, born breech, but with no complications.
55. David Gypsy: Healed of black spots in his vision. (PL 12:91)
56. Kento (14) of David and Freya: Wrist problems healed. (PL 12:92)
PRAYER REQUESTS:
CRITICAL OR LIFE-&-DEATH SITUATIONS: (For age 14 and over.)
57. Steven Faith (PL 15:60): Cancerous tumours in his shoulder.
(From Marianne, to Dad and Mama: Steven Faith is a precious brother who has been a faithful, dedicated OC and JETT shepherd at our Home for the last three to four years. He has been on the Prayer List for a case of cancer, and the Lord has answered prayer in that he's been energetic and hasn't suffered much pain, and hence has been able to carry on a fulltime ministry, which he really loves. However, the tumours have been spreading and he now has seven, which are somewhat sensitive to the touch, and he occasionally gets pains in his shoulders and the affected areas. I wanted to pass on this note from him, as I know you are concerned for those in critical condition, and I thought his letter was very touching.)
From Steven:
After taking a few days off for reading and prayer, I felt the very real possibility that I might die soon. As I thought about it, I felt constrained to be as loving as I could if I was really going to die. I felt that I wanted to leave in a real loving spirit. Suddenly my life became simple. All I had to do was get up and be loving all day and pour into the JETTs as much as I could.
To be honest, sometimes in the past my life had seemed so complicated. I didn't know whether I should be praying, working, reading or what. Suddenly all I wanted to do was pour out, because time is short, and it all became so simple. I decided to stop reading for myself and just read for the JETTs, either preparing a class for them or reading to them. I've had 21 years of Word for myself, and I feel like pouring into them in the time I have left. I can't explain it, but suddenly I feel good and each day has taken on a new excitement.
I've felt for a long time that I'm too selfish and concerned about my own problems, and this sickness is teaching me to leave it all behind. I don't know what the Lord has in store, but I am happy to be learning these lessons. Thank the Lord!
58. Gabriel of Miracle: For miraculous deliverance from cancer, which he has been battling for quite a long time. He has "suffered much at the hands of the physicians" and at present the doctors are at the point of "just looking for another recipe" to try on him. Gabriel and Miracle have now decided to take a stand of faith, and throw themselves completely on the Lord's mercy for Gabriel's healing.
59. Liz Grey (68): Cervical cancer, allergies which hinder breathing and cause headaches; for good health and strength.
60. Renee (of Tim): Recovery after operation to try to remove a cancer that remains after having gone through several months of radiation treatment. Complete deliverance from the cancer, speedy recovery, and faith and trust.
61. Accident in South America: Two adults and eight teens were hitchhiking and were given a ride in the back of an open pick-up truck. That night, there was an accident. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over, and all our Family Members were thrown out. All lost consciousness and suffered injuries except for one of the two adults, who was able to help the others and see to it that they got transport to a hospital, thank the Lord! The injuries were very serious, and one teen was in a coma for several days, but all except this boy are out of the hospital now. Doctors have been amazed at the progress all have made, but they still need your desperate prayers for a full and speedy recovery with no after-effects or complications. Please pray for the following people:
Teen Juan Andres came out of a coma after being unconscious for a week and is out of intensive care. The right side of his body was completely paralyzed at first, but he has begun to recover the use of it. One complication is that he has contracted meningitis from his head injuries.
Teen Jonathan sustained a head injury, causing his brain to become quite swollen. If it gets infected, he could contract meningitis. He also has a broken collar bone and may have a broken eardrum.
Teen Miriam has a broken eardrum which could result in deafness in that ear.
Teen Gerson had a slight fracture in his skull and must rest for a month to give it time to heal.
Teen Patricia broke her collar bone and fractured her cheekbone.
Adult Gentleness broke her arm and suffered an injury over one of her eyes.
Teens Cedro, John Michael and Rosita suffered bruises, cuts, and had to have some stitches, but were the least injured.
Please pray that the Lord will restore all our precious brethren to full health--their mobility, hearing, eyesight, and all bodily functions, and that He will protect them from infection and meningitis.
Let's claim the verse, "And the Lord shall deliver (them) from every evil work and will preserve (them) unto His Heavenly Kingdom, to Whom be glory for ever and ever."--2Tim. 4:18.
(Maria: Please pray desperately for our dear brethren to be delivered from these severe injuries and diseases, and let's pray fervently for the Lord's protection against auto accidents in the Family. Lord bless and help our dear ones who were hurt!
(From now on, we are going to insist that no Family Members ride in the back of open pick-ups, which is where these brethren were when the accident occurred. Many countries have laws against riding in the back of pick-ups, and those that don't should, because it has often proven to be extremely dangerous, with many people seriously injured and even killed. So consider it a new Family rule, for the protection and safekeeping of our precious Family.
(Each of our people are so precious and dear to us that we should do all we can to protect their lives from danger. Of course the most important thing is to pray in every situation and ask the Lord for His protection, so that "no evil will befall thee." Ask Him for His Angels to take charge of you, to keep you in all your ways, and "bear you up in their hands."--Psalm 91:10-12.)
DAD AND MAMA: For All

62. Dad's strength and exercise: Mama commented: "I have a special prayer request for Dad. It's not too much different than what we have already been requesting for him, but it is becoming more important all the time that we pray fervently for it. It's been very difficult recently for Dad to get out and get good exercise. He has become quite weak as a result, although in general his afflictions have been minimal, thank the Lord. But if he doesn't get exercise, this could be very detrimental to him physically, so please pray that the Lord will make a way for him to exercise and give him the strength needed for it." Thanks!
63. For Mama's strength to be able to continue her job for the Lord and the Family.
WORLDWIDE: For All

Parents and Children:
64. Our children's education:
--That our children will continue to be well-shepherded and cared for in the spiritual and physical by loving parents and Shepherds; and that our Homes will also learn to make better use of our teachers in the education of the kids.
--For the children to receive consistent scholastic, practical and discipleship training.
--For the Lord to raise up more dedicated teachers who will make education their profession in the Family, and for the encouragement and appreciation of our present teachers.
--Funding for the many schooling and children's needs in each Home, and for the visitation of Family Educational Overseers to the Homes. For full-of-faith fund-raisers in each area.
--For faith, initiative, and a supportive attitude of each member as they see the importance of carrying out our Family educational program to prepare our children to be the leaders and witnesses of the future that the Lord has promised they will be.
--That any weak areas in scholastics will be strengthened through extra tutoring or supplemental workbooks and study material.
65. Against the Enemy's attacks on our teens around the World. That any problem teens will have a real turnaround and change of heart and be able to get strengthened spiritually. That the Lord will encourage any teens who left because of seeing a bad sample, and that they will come back to the Family.
66. That the Lord will give the burden and show our YAs how to bring the good aspects of their upbringing and training into our younger children's lives, and that they will have the desire to do all they can to help the younger ones.
67. That our YAs and teens will form the important habit of going to the Word for the answers and solutions to their problems, and that they will in turn direct their younger brothers and sisters to the Word.
68. For our parents: Against any fear that their children will be taken; that they can continue to have faith in the Lord's powerful promises of protection. For our children who were temporarily taken by social workers: That the Lord will overcome any fear of having it happen again.
69. OC Training: OC training revolution that we are pioneering in one area to bear lasting fruit in the kids' lives.
Outreach, Follow-up and New Disciples:
70. Challenging, exciting new-bottle witnessing ministries for our JETTs, teens and YAs to get involved with.
71. Mail ministry contacts and their growth; for the mail ministry itself to grow and reach the right people. The necessary finances to keep it going.
Shepherding, Finances, and Home Affairs:
72. For the Lord to supply finances more abundantly than ever before, so we can be free to do our important work for the Lord without being hindered by a lack of funds. For the release of pending inheritances, trust funds, or financial gifts, without the need to get involved in lengthy or expensive legal proceedings. Increased financial means, especially for our Homes in Europe and other cold northern climates where they are experiencing large heating bills.
73. For our teams ministering to people of means and influence who have shown interest in helping our Work, and that these people will see the need to help with some of the finances the Family needs.
Persecution:
74. That the Lord will continue to feed and strengthen our media representatives, especially those having to spend much of their time with lawyers, sociologists, academics, etc.
75. Outside witnesses testifying for the Family in our court cases: That their health will remain good, their spirits will remain high, their hearts will be drawn closer to us, their knowledge of us will become clearer, and their interpretations of our complexities will be correct.
76. Against false witnesses from our enemies' camp who have already testified against us in the British case and are preparing to testify in the Melbourne case--including people like Mene, Priebe, Dupuy, Deb, Miriam, Abigail Berry, and other more recent teen backsliders who our enemies are planning to make some of their prime witnesses.
77. All our evil enemies who are fighting God and His Work, that the Lord will take care of them in the way that He knows best.
78. Against CAN and its tactics. CAN is now launching an offensive to take advantage of the cult scare climate, and they are pushing their "experts" into various government agencies. They are also taking their anti-cult message into the public schools. Please pray that we can influence the various government agencies to accept the real authorities on NRMs, and expose CAN for the charlatans they are.
79. Anti-cultist Steve Hassan is in the process of writing a sequel to his book on "Mind Control," which will apparently contain testimonies of backsliders from different groups, including the Family, and would be translated and published in other languages. That the Lord will stop its translation and publication in any language, and hinder Hassan's efforts to spread his lies and deception.
80. Against Johannes Aagaard and the Dialogue Center, who have joined forces with ADFI in their latest verbal attack against us, and have plans to expand into Eastern Europe.
81. That the legal authorities in the U.S. and Canada will take action and go after those who have been charged with crimes after their failed attempt to take over the Manila Home, and their theft and sale of our dance videos which were in storage.
82. A fair and speedy trial for the surviving Branch Davidians, and that they and their lawyers will be able to publicise the real story of what happened in Waco. That their lawyers will be brave in standing up for the truth against the lies of the System, and can expose the religious intolerance of the American government. (Maria: Please continue to pray for the trial of the Branch Davidians. Just like a positive outcome in our cases will directly affect our Work for the good, and a negative outcome would affect us adversely, so the outcome of the Branch Davidian case will also affect us either for good or bad. And, of course, we also need to be praying for the sake of those poor people.)
Court Cases:
83. Argentina court case. Please pray for:
--That all of the families in Argentina who are not involved directly in the case (adults and children who were in the institutes) can leave the country soon.
--That Family Members who are involved in the case will also be able to leave Argentina soon.
--That the minors judge being appointed to take over our case will be just, and that he or she will allow the children to leave the country.
--That the Argentine Supreme Court will reject the DA's appeal of the Appeals Court ruling, and that the Lord will give our lawyers wisdom in helping to bring our case to a speedy, victorious end.
--The complete vindication of our Family in Argentina.
--The good health and protection of our lawyers, as well as their unity, strength and conviction to see the battle through to the end.
--Healing for the wife of one of our lawyers, who has Parkinson's disease and is not doing well physically.
--The Appeals Court judges who ruled in our favour, setting the Family free, risking their reputations, and maybe even their jobs, to stand up for true justice.
--Shepherding and organisation of our Homes in Buenos Aires. For all to readjust and get physically and spiritually strengthened, and for the Lord's grace to keep going, as the battle continues until all are able to leave the country.
--The Lord's supply for brethren travelling to their new fields of service; that they can get the necessary visas and paperwork done. Continued support while still in Argentina.
--The sale of our vehicles and other items.
--That the Welfare Department will pay compensation to cover at least some of the items lost and stolen, past rents, etc.
--Full return of our documents for travel.
--Good relations with our landlords. That the Lord will pacify any who are trying to use the raids to get funds from us.
--Good relations with the Social Services people, and wisdom in dealing with them and their visits to the Homes.
--New housing in the fields where the brethren will be travelling to.
--The strength of Family Members who have come out of prison and gone right into a full-scale media battle.
--The follow-up of various government officials in Argentina, and that this will result in them taking action on our behalf.
--Follow-up on newly won friends and lawyers.
--Continued strength, protection and good health of leadership.

--The favourable doctor who has checked into the way the forensic tests were performed on our children, and is now overseeing those conducting the psychological tests on them. For her health, which is poor, and her desire to keep fighting for us.
--For the girls whom our women roomed with in prison, got very close to, and won to the Lord; that the Lord will do miracles to push their cases through and get them released.
--Fruitful outreach, distribution of tools and follow-up.
--Maria Clara (2, of Mateo and Brunhilda): Speedy recovery from an operation.
--The complete spiritual, physical and emotional recovery of the children, teens and YAs who have been released. Deliverance from fears brought about by their imprisonment or detention.

--Members of the Catholic church and elements of the Argentine and American government who are continuing to attack us.
--Abigail Berry and her deceptions. Cherish, backslidden teen working against us, as well as Miriam Bolivar, whose testimonies were used to incite the Argentine authorities to imprison the Family.
84. Pearl's court case in England. Please pray that the Lord will do great miracles to overcome the many obstacles that stand in the way of a victory. Pray:
--That the funds needed for the court case will continue to come in.
--That the Lord will continue to strengthen our lawyers, Pearl, and all those involved in the case, and give Pearl the grace and the boldness to be a witness for the truth with full conviction.
--For the Lord to confound the opposition QC, solicitors, and barristers, and to get through to the judge.
--That the judge will be positively influenced by the good reports we have received from the Social Services and the Education Board's visits to Pearl's home.
--Against bitter backsliders testifying against us.
Whether this case is won or lost depends on God moving through your prayers. God can do the impossible, but He needs your help. The outcome of this case will affect each of you either positively or negatively. This is not Pearl's battle, nor England's battle, but the Family's battle. When fighting in prayer for Pearl and her son, you are fighting for yourselves and each of our dear children. Don't fail them or the Lord by failing to pray. Do it now!--Don't delay!--At devotions, meal times, prayer vigil, bedtime! Expect God to win the victory!--And He will!
85. Melbourne court case. The mediation hearing has been rescheduled to start on February 14th. If a mediation agreement is not reached, the case will begin at the end of February. Our lawyers are not overly optimistic about these mediation talks, as H&CS (formerly CSV) seem determined to go through with the case. However, partly as a result of the Family's prayers, protests, demonstrations and appeals, H&CS is under pressure from different governmental departments, including the premier of the state, to mediate. We would like to ask for prayer for the following:
--That the Lord will continue to raise up voices in the government to put pressure on H&CS to mediate, similar to what happened in Sydney.
--That the mediator will be a fair and just man, and that he will be able to work out a settlement that we and H&CS can agree on.
--If the case goes on, that the supposed H&CS "evidence" against us will be released to our legal team so they can prepare knowledgeably for our case.
--Against H&CS and its head, John Patterson, who has pushed for the case to continue against the advice of many in government.
--Lawyers: Unity, anointing, our ministry to them, and their personal conviction for our case. That our lawyers will be able to expose H&CS's abuse of our children and confound their attempts to justify their actions.
--Against ex-member witnesses for the prosecution: That the Lord will confound their testimony and discredit them.
--The local Family's spiritual strength, faith and unity.
--TSers involved in the case: Unity, strength and a fighting spirit.
--Finances: Supply during the case, as it is time-consuming and takes away from regular outreach.
--Favourable media: That they will get the truth out and resist the lies.

Health and protection of our Family in Mexico City, where pollution is nearly the worst it has ever been, and authorities have even warned people to be careful about vigorous exercise due to the strain the pollution is putting on everyone's lungs. The Prayer Lists really make me desperate in prayer. I never saw the importance of everyone's desperation in prayer until recently when Uncle Jonadab went into a coma. It really showed me how important each person on the Prayer List is and how they really need our prayers. Before I thought that it wasn't so important if I didn't really participate in prayer and get desperate, but now I see how important it is to pray fervently for everyone.
From Ruthie, Asia:
I am really thankful for the Prayer Lists, especially now since my baby isn't well. It's so comforting to know the Family is praying for the situation. After PL 11, my mate and I began praying every night for Maria Clara (of Mateo and Brunhilda, SA). Since our unborn baby is in a critical situation and we also have a one-year-old daughter, I guess we could really feel for Mateo and Brunhilda. When we read of Maria Clara's healing in PL 14, we jumped up and down and praised the Lord. What a victory!
From Gabriella, Europe:
I'd been feeling bad about being so tired in the morning and not being able to really pray about everything before starting the day. Then I was going through the Home library and saw the Power Prayers. I was reading through them when the Lord gave me the idea to record a couple of the prayers and "personalise" them by adding my personal requests or whatever I wanted to pray for. So now, when I wake up I put the tape on and pray along with it. Also, I put the night time prayer on before bedtime and the prayer for prayerfulness at quiet time. I recorded them with some Gospel music in the background. When I get too familiar with them, I just re-record them (with or without music) and they stay fresh.
From Ariane (15), Asia:
The Lord healed me even before my prayer request in PL 14 came out. (See PL 14:125.) It was a miracle, as just minutes before a united prayer meeting where they were going to pray for me, the Lord healed me and I started my period after a menstrual blockage which had lasted for about 5 months. It had caused me a lot of pain and had me confined to bed most of the time, unable to do normal activities and ministries. The doctor suggested a minor operation but the Lord healed me completely and I've had no problem with it whatsoever since then. Thank You Jesus! "Before they call, I will answer, and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."--Isa.65:24. It really touched my heart to see my name on the PL and almost made me cry to know that the worldwide Family was praying for me. Thank the Lord for such a loving Family!

When I read a recent GN, I was really convicted by the prophecy about the importance of our Prayer Vigils. (See GN 568, page 9.) I was reminded of my own attitude towards our Home Vigils, how so often I feel like I just have so much to do that I don't have time to stop and bring myself to spend an entire hour in prayer, Lord help me! I think it's because I haven't fully made prayer a part of my very being. I have not realised that all the work I do for the Lord and the sheep is fine and needful, yet prayer is the only weapon I have at my disposal to join in the battle and fight the Enemy in the Spirit! I pray the Lord will help me be more importunate and faithful to pray, pray and pray again!

When I heard that my children had been taken by the authorities in France, I wanted to go there and do whatever I could to help. However, circumstances made it impossible for me to go. I realised then that my best weapon was prayer. So during their imprisonment I learned to pray like I have never prayed before, not just for my own children but for all the dear Family Members who asked for prayer in the Prayer List. I have learned, like Dad says in "Desperate Prayer," to "pour out my heart in strong crying and tears." It has really brought a change in my life and in my work for the Lord as I have seen the Lord do things just because of prayer. Prayer vigil time for me has become the most important event of the day.

Dearest Dad and Mama,
I really love you so, so much and am praying for you! Thank you for your love and concern and prayers for me during this time, and for all you are pouring out to the Family. I know that what kept me during this time of testing was everyone's prayers for me, and knowing that Jesus would never fail me, and He didn't! Thank You Jesus! (See Answered Prayer #53.)
The Lord has miraculously healed me, when local doctors could not even agree on what was wrong with me. Now, only one week after getting out of bed, I'm going for get-out, can pick up the little ones, and feel strong and back to normal again. All the glory goes to Jesus, as I never once felt that I could do any part of it. All I could do was cling to Him and keep my eyes on Him alone to keep me from sinking. I feel so weak and incapable and feel that I have so little faith. I kept clinging to the verse "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed...." (Mat. 17:20). I felt if I could have just that tiny bit of faith, then the Lord could do it, and He did!
I feel so privileged to have gone through this, as I learned so many precious lessons that I would never have learned otherwise. I also feel so much closer to you both, Dad and Mama, in having experienced a tiny inkling of the suffering you have gone through for us, your Family. You both have suffered so much so we could learn the lessons your sufferings have brought out.
I now can really understand the miraculous power of prayer, as many times, especially during the medical examinations and the tests, I felt like I could not bear another moment. But then I felt such peace and grace and I just knew people were praying for me. I felt I was being carried on the "wings of prayer." Thank You Jesus!
