URGENT WORLDWIDE PRAYER LIST!--No.3--From WS     DO

INTRODUCTION:

         GBY! Thank you for your prayers in response to the petitions mentioned in the first two "Worldwide Prayer Lists!" As you'll see below in the "Answered Prayer" section, the Lord has been answering in a marvellous way, & we know that He'll continue to answer, as you fervently pray. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (your prayers) availeth much!"--Jam.5:16. TYJ! "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His Will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."--1Jn.5:14,15.
         Please let us know if you've been helped as a result of these prayer requests. For example, if you have been healed physically, been delivered from spiritual problems, had a need miraculously supplied, or won victories over personal weaknesses, attacks by our enemies, persecution, etc. as a result of our Family's prayers for you, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!"--Psa.107:2. Remind your Shepherds to mention it in the "Greatest Victories" section of your Home's TRF, & please send a separate testimony to the FSM as soon as possible, marked "Answered Prayer!"--This will be a great encouragement to our dear Family who prayed for you, & will help encourage the faith of others! Thanks!
         God bless & continue to make you a blessing as you uphold the needs of our worldwide Family in prayer! As Dad has said, the spiritual warfare depends on us & our prayers as well as our choices! "God is just waiting on you to command the situation! He said `Command thou Me!' He's given such faith & power to you that you can even command God to do what you want Him to do for you! (Isa.45:11) If you're righteous, doing the right thing & trying to please God, you can command Him to do what you want Him to do. He's already promised to do it in His Word, to answer your prayer." ANSWERED PRAYERS:
         The Lord miraculously protected Dad in spite of two recent falls which could have been very serious, but in neither of them did he suffer any injury other than a slight scratch & a little bruise. Hallelujah! "Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand!"--Psa.37:24.
         Dad's back is miraculously healed with no more pain whatsoever! Praise the Lord! His side is much better, with only a little pain occasionally, & his eyesight has remained strong. In addition, his sleep has been much more peaceful & his classes with the Family have been going well. TYJ!
         The two beautiful new children's Videos were done in time for Christmas distribution in several areas. PTL! TYJ! These new Videos may be distributed along with the Kiddie Viddies.
         Tony & Claire received Dad & Mama's counsel in the "Tony" Letters, apologised publicly & have been making real progress. We're sure they would appreciate your continued prayers for solid, long-term victories. (For more inspiring news of their changes, please see Hope Mag #28.)
         The following is an answer to prayer about Teen Ben (17), who was under the "Last Chance" section of Prayer List #2. Although it's not necessarily the type of answer we would have wished for, nevertheless, the Lord's workings are often dependent on our faith, yieldedness & obedience. As you will see in the following testimony from Josiah, the Family Members who were with Ben went the "extra mile" to do all they could to try to help him, & the Lord Himself miraculously intervened at the last minute by having a total stranger from halfway around the World warn & witness to Ben about the grave error he was about to make!
From Josiah:
         Teen Ben has made his decision to go out & "fill his belly with husks" (Luk.15:16), & has backslidden. The Lord had offered him chance after chance, yet he was still hungering for the System, so we are praying that the Lord will shake him up & do whatever it takes to help him see the Truth & all he has forsaken.
         Ben was quite a difficult boy in his earlier years, & his problems continued to grow steadily worse as he became a young Teen. Around the age of 12 or 13 he got into quite a bit of trouble & became very rebellious, leading others astray & talking against adults & Family policies. At around this time there was a Teen program starting in his area & Ben was brought in for closer shepherding from some of the trained leadership who were there at the time. Despite this, his problems continued & actually worsened, & Ben began adversely affecting the other Teens. At this point, because of the bad effect he was having on the other Teens in the Home, it was decided to send him to join the DT Program in the East for some of our most difficult Teens.
         In this new situation he had a lot of very close shepherding, as well as the opportunity to learn several different ministries. However, over this period of time he came very close to backsliding on about four or five occasions. Usually whenever he would get a correction of any kind, he had such a difficult time receiving it, he would resort to wanting to backslide. In retrospect, in light of the very clear & direct counsel regarding such serious spiritual problems given in the Tony GNs, we probably should have just encouraged him to leave right then & there. We did continue to try to help him, though. Since he was underage & his father was involved in behind-the-scenes work, we wanted to go the extra step to give him all the support & encouragement we could.
         About a year ago, the Teens who were at the DT Program went to join the Victor Program in Japan, which was a step closer to regular discipleship for them. They were given opportunities to witness & learn many different ministries, as was Ben. Towards the end of his six-month period of being at the Victors, Ben again grew quite dissatisfied & was very easily offended by any correction given him by his Shepherds, & he again expressed a desire to backslide, saying he wanted to go to the System to learn to be a computer expert.
         In a last-ditch attempt to help Ben, he was asked to forsake his pride, criticism & rebellion, & challenged to reach for his dream & work on learning all about computers in the Family. In many ways this approach was an experiment, & worked well with a few other Teens who had before been rather incorrigible, or at least had had many problems. They responded to the unwarranted mercy offered to them & are now integrated into the regular Teen Department & have continued to really respond to the trust invested in them.
         Although Ben was given countless opportunities & great mercy, because of his extreme pride, he had a very difficult time at this point doing any menial tasks whatsoever. He continued to shirk his JJT responsibilities, rebelled against any correction & also had a critical attitude toward leadership. Even though he had been given so much leeway to change & grow, he rejected it & instead came to the point where he didn't want to have to do anything for anyone, & decided again that he wanted to leave. He expressed a desire to join the military & become a soldier, as he is very proud of & misled by his physical strength & stature.
         His last Shepherds reported that while in town trying to help Ben make arrangements to leave the Home & go to the States, they "happened" to run into an American sailor who was on leave & was looking for someone who could speak English. It turned out to be an amazing set-up from the Lord. This sailor said he was a Mennonite who joined the Navy when he was 17 & signed up for 6 years in order to get away from his family, his religion & his small town. He'd been in the Navy for more than 5 years, & said it was the biggest mistake he'd ever made in his life, & as soon as he was out, he was going home to start over & live the life he should have stayed in! Ben was eager to hear all the details about life in the Navy. The sailor told him about the hardships & unvarnished truth of the difficulties & frustrations. Ben was still interested & asked if they were recruiting more people, & the sailor replied, "I hope so! They need someone to take my place!" He wanted out & was trying to get out as soon as he could. This young man, now 23, really knew that he had strayed & erred by wandering off of the straight & narrow way of the Lord, & he clearly testified that the "way of the transgressor" is indeed very "hard"!--And he wanted to return to the much more Godly life & way that he had so foolishly forsaken.
                  In a wonderful answer to our prayers, the Lord brought this complete stranger all the way from the U.S. directly into our path so that he could warn & witness to Ben!--"Entertaining" this "stranger" who had this specific message for Ben caused us to wonder afterwards if we had "entertained Angels unawares!"--Heb.13:2. Just a few hours earlier Ben had been talking about his interest in joining the Navy, for the very same reasons that this sailor said that he first joined. Yet Ben was listening to the story only to learn what he could do to follow the same route. God knows what it will take to teach Ben the lessons that he needs to learn!
         Ben's now in God's hands, as we did all we could to help him, but he must now learn the hard way himself. He is truly set in this track. It is not a quick decision that he's made in a difficult time of testing or trial, but one that he has been determined to follow for a very long time, & he has only been waiting for the time & place to go his own way.
         We wanted to share this with you, by means of confirmation, that Dad's approach in "Zack Attack Ultimatum!" is really best! "Frankly, I'd almost like him to get a good taste of the System, & then he'd never want it again!--God deals pretty tough with backsliders!--`The way of the transgressor is hard,' & maybe that's what he needs.--Pro.13:15." (ML #2719:4)
         Thank the Lord for His mercy & Love that will always keep us close to Him--unless we just don't want to yield! Please pray that the Lord will shake Ben up & work in his life, so that he, like all our other backsliders, will realise the truth about the Days of Heaven he has left behind.--And that it will serve as a sobering warning to us all, to encourage us to want to follow closer! Also pray the Lord will show him the error of his ways & that he will not cause any problems for the Family.
         Silletta (a man we requested prayer against in Prayer List #2, under "North & South America"). The Lord is already sending His judgements on him, troubling him as he tried to trouble us, as he is being sued & has been taken to court by a group of influential people whom he accused of being Moonies. He is being discredited in the newspapers & accused of seeking fame & fortune at the expense of others.
         In the case of Globo's attacks against our Family in Brazil (see Prayer List #2, the last item under "North & South America"), reporters & the local police did raid a Home, but the Lord got the victory in spite of it! The Home's Members were seized briefly by the police, but released after only a few hours of questioning & detention. Globo then aired a slanderous program about the Family, but their show was quite weak compared to many of the lies & accusations of the past.
         In fact, this persecution in Brazil has been a real Romans 8:28 situation so far, as the Lord has used it to strengthen each of our friends & we have a much stronger follow-up & witnessing program now than ever before! Some of our newer national disciples as well as many of our Teens have really had their convictions strengthened & have become much more on-fire witnessers for Jesus! We've decentralised our Homes & strengthened our security, made more progress with more prayer & more time in the Word, & had a revolution in almost every way! PTL! Surely the wrath of Man shall praise Him!--Psa.76:10.
         In answer to the prayer request in Prayer List #2 under the section "The East," "Against a backslidden husband," we are very happy to share the good news that the most recent hearings have gone in Lamb's favour. PTL! So far, they have not been able to come up with any concrete evidence that justifies taking her children away from her. In fact, a woman in charge of the Home Schooling department testified in Lamb's favour, GBH! Everything the opposition has tried to use as evidence against Lamb & the Family, including our lit, has still worked in our favour. The backslidden husband has been defined by the court as mentally & emotionally unfit to care for the children. Thank you very much for your prayers for this situation, which still needs your desperate prayers, so please see the request for further prayer below under "Pacific & the East."
         Ahlai Praise went for a check-up & the doctor said that there was no sign of cervical cancer. TYL!
         17-year-old Becky of Eden & Little Josh. [Dear Teens, Teen Becky recently became very ill. Although partially paralysed at first & in quite critical condition, she has been miraculously recovering in spite of a four-hour operation on her brain. The doctors did not know if she would live, & said that she had to have a very dangerous second operation or she could die at any moment. But she took a stand of faith, along with her Shepherds & Family, & did not have the second operation, & the Lord has been miraculously healing her! PTL!]
         Thanks to the Family's prayers, she has made tremendous progress, so much so that upon a follow-up visit to her doctor he said that he didn't recognise her as the same girl! She is back to her normal weight, the incision is completely healed, she walks normally & has regained good balance. Although she temporarily lost her speech, some of her memory, & reading abilities, she has even begun reading & can now write a simple OHR. She is again involved in a lot of the Home's activities & has a ministry daily in the nursery. She can speak in simple sentences & has almost completely regained her memory. Pray that her speech processes will become normal & she'll be able to communicate normally, as well as that her left eye will become strong & she will be able to see properly with it. She is gaining major spiritual victories, but has requested continued prayer against her NWOs & for her relationship & connection with the Lord, as she sees this is one reason the Lord allowed this recent affliction to draw her closer to Him. Little Josh is back in the Family full time now, thank the Lord, but needs your continued prayers for lasting spiritual victories.

Dear Grandpa & Mama Maria,
         God bless you. I love you so much & pray for you with all my heart. I can't say much right now, but I wanted to say I love you.
         I know the Lord could have taken me or made me be an invalid, but the Lord has done the miracle of keeping me alive & healthy because He knows I've got a lot to learn. I know the Lord planned it long ago to grow me up, & now I really want to live for the Lord & not myself & personal interests or relationships. Jesus has become so real & close to me, & so have you.
         So what I've been learning through this experience is to not be sensitive or stubborn. Before I got ill it was easy for me to vain babble, but now I have to pray & fight to get out every word, but I'm so happy for it.
         We had a class last night about the Holy Spirit & it was really heavy. I saw that I should be so full of the Spirit that I'll be happy & content with whatever the Lord brings my way. Even though it's hard sometimes to not be involved in all the normal Teen activities, I'm learning to accept that Jesus just wants me to Himself right now. My goal is to be so full of the Spirit that all I want is Jesus. I know I haven't reached that goal yet, but eventually I'll learn.
         Thank you for having the faith to let me stay at the Training Center & not have to go back to a hospital where I wouldn't be with the Family. I love you both so so much & will always pray for you. It makes me cry to think of your love! I don't know how to say how much I love you.

         Ruthie Manuel in South America was diagnosed as having skin cancer on her forehead. She took a stand of faith & had desperate prayer with the local Family. We also contacted the leaders worldwide to pray for her. We were intending to include her prayer request in this Prayer List, but received word only a few days later that the cancerous sore is miraculously healing & the doctor himself is testifying of the power of prayer! Hallelujah!
         Maria (of Pedro), pregnant with her ninth child, was having trouble with bleeding & pain, & facing a possible hemorrhage. Just as we were about to include her prayer request here, we received word that she has now given birth to a large baby boy, & both mother & baby are doing well. TYJ!
         Jesse (9, of Leland & Grace) has been healed of a long-standing ear infection in answer to your prayers! (See Prayer List #2, the eighth item under "Europe.") When his parents took Jesse to the doctor, he said the infection was gone & that an operation was not necessary. TYJ!
         We were going to ask for your prayers for Russian Piper, that he could be set free from an entangling court case, but we heard the answer before this prayer request went out! TYJ! "Before they call I will answer."--Isa.65:24. Piper's court case is now officially closed! A couple of days ago Piper contacted the Police station that was investigating his case. The woman was very sweet & said that because of a lack of evidence the case would be officially closed, but that it would take between 1-2 weeks to wrap things up because of the "red tape." It seems the Lord has used this time to draw Piper closer to the Lord, & he is being a tremendous blessing to the Family & helping minister to the outside witnessers & Catacombers. Soon he will be able to join his wife & children, who are already receiving further training at an Eastern Europe Training Center. TYJ!
         Angelo's court case has also been closed, with all charges dropped & complete absolution for everyone indicted, PTL! In the initial court hearing, none of Angelo's accusers even showed up in court, & the prosecuting attorney was very confused & unable to address the judge clearly!--While Angelo's attorney, Antonio, a personal friend from his boyhood, was very much on the attack. Then in the final hearing, Antonio gave such an impassioned plea in Angelo's defense that the judge even congratulated him afterwards, telling him that he really liked the way he'd handled the case.
         After the case against Angelo was dropped, the judge went on to the charges against Dad, who'd also been named as a defendant--although Dad had nothing to do with the entire affair. Antonio then went on to defend Dad against the malicious lies brought against him, which he demonstrated were totally without any proof, & the judge dropped all charges in his case as well! PTL! Antonio later said that it was like a breath of fresh air to be able to defend someone whom he really believed, & that he knew was doing the right thing. He also asked us to please let Dad know that he had defended him. God bless him!
         Rachel was another of the defendants exonerated at the trial, & Angelo got to talk to her briefly at the trial. She works in a bookstore where she sells antique books to collectors, & has no more interest in serving the Lord. Both she & Emanuele live on the same property, but in separate houses, & have very little contact with each other, & are embittered backsliders. How sad is the case of those who have left the Lord & the place of service He had given them!
         Tina & Divina. Their Shepherds report that it has almost been phenomenal to witness the incredible change in both Tina & Divina's lives since Prayer List #2. Both have become so different, positive & happy--& it certainly is a manifest token of the Lord answering the worldwide Family's prayers for them both, TYJ!

         In order to get these urgent prayer requests out quickly, we have not made this a complete listing, but just the new prayer requests & answers to prayer that have come out since Prayer List #2. Therefore, please use this new Prayer List in conjunction with Prayer List #2 for your vigils. (Please note that the classification of this Prayer List is now for all Junior & Senior Teens, as well as EAs & Adults, which means that you may share Prayer Lists #1 & 2 with these same age groups as well.) If your Home finds that there are too many requests or items to get through at one time during prayer vigil, you could consider dividing them up & assigning certain requests to certain people so that you will make sure all of them are prayed for.
Please pray for the following:
DAD & MAMA:
         Dad's frequent bouts of coughing, which are not only annoying during the day, but a hindrance to his sleep at night. That the Lord will heal his throat & esophagus, which seem to be very raw & tender.
         Request for prayer for Mama's eyes (taken from a letter to Mama from a visiting Family Member):
         One thing that shocked or surprised me a bit, & definitely touched me, when visiting you, was to realise how seriously your eye condition affects you. It certainly is not affecting your productivity, & obviously the Lord is using it to teach not only you, but also us through you, a lot of beautiful lessons of dependence on Him, not leaning on the arm of the flesh, & endurance. You're certainly a wonderful sample of being very cheerful about it & praising the Lord despite such a handicap. I haven't heard you complain about it at all. It's a beautiful sample to hear how you see the Romans 8:28 in it. I'm very impressed by how much you accomplish without being able to read. Of course, I understand that you wouldn't want to lose the ground that you have gained & that you don't want to be "rescued prematurely," but on the other hand, I don't think the Family realises how much your eyes are affecting you--that you have difficulty going out in the daylight because the brightness hurts your eyes, that you can't watch any videos, & that you have to keep your eyes closed almost all of the time. It has been touched on in the Letters, but because you are always so faithful to lift up the Lord & minimise your affliction, I don't think the Family realises the full extent of your handicap. For example, in your birthday wish you said, "I want to get everything I can out of what He's doing in my life & not be rescued prematurely from this eye affliction that I have, which is actually very little, & in comparison to most people's problems is nothing at all."
         I understand what you mean, but I do feel that the Family is not aware of what you are really going through, & that they could be a lot more militant in their prayers for you if they knew. I know they pray for you continually, & I'm sure will have the opportunity to pray even more as they become more faithful with their prayer vigils. I nearly mentioned it when I read the last Prayer List & saw the request you put in for Dad. You're always so faithful to ask for prayer for him, but I feel we could stir the Family up to pray a lot more desperately for you. You probably feel that Dad has said a lot in "Prayer for Mama's Eyes" & there have been prayer requests before, but I know coming to visit made me want to get much more on the attack in prayer for you & your healing. Like you've said, the Family usually expects quick answers to their prayers. We expect quick miracles, & if we don't hear much about your condition, then we think, "Oh, everything is probably going a lot better." Also, since there are other things to pray for, people may not pray with as much fervency as they should.
         It's so beautiful & so encouraging to see how the Lord has miraculously answered prayer for Dad! I know how much the Family loves & appreciates you, & I feel if they were more aware of the serious condition of your eyes, how they seem to be getting worse each day, they would become more militant in their prayers. It was a surprise to me when I came & realised how you are virtually blind, & it convicted me to be much more of a prayer warrior for you. I know the Family would love to pray more for you. I know how powerfully the Lord moves when the whole Family stirs themselves to pray for something. PTL!

From a Staff Member to Mama:
         I wonder if it would be good to ask the Family to pray for the Lord to keep & protect you, as you do have to walk around with your eyes closed, which is quite an adjustment for you, & you've already fallen once. I know you might not want to put this in as a prayer request, but I think it is legitimate & urgent. Thank the Lord, He did keep you, but I also think it would be good to ask the Family to pray for this, as you have to walk with your eyes closed. I think it'll help the Family realise the seriousness & urgency of the situation with your eyes, & the necessity to pray for you!
WORLDWIDE:
         For the Lord's leading in major decisions that need to be made by our Family's leadership during this coming month that could affect all areas of Family life & outreach.
         For our CROs, who have an extra heavy work load this month, & many projects to take care of.
         For our Homes to make good progress in increasing their Cash Buffer.
         For protection from persecution & sickness during our Christmas Witnessing Outreach.
         For the Family this year, that we will put souls first & realise that our main job is not to be mere Video salesmen but Ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, whose main job is to distribute the Word & win souls.
         For the Lord to continue to protect our copyrights on our songs & Videos.
         For personnel in Units: Kevin, who has been having sporadic attacks of intense stomach pains which make it difficult for him to breathe. He has also had recurrences of critical & negative thoughts which he has continued to fight, but your prayers would be a great help to him. We're sure his article on "Deliverance from Bitterness & Negative Thinking" in FSM 192 has been a great help to many of you, & we believe you'd be more than happy to now pray for him in his time of need. Also for one of our FSM editors who has frequent attacks of severe headaches & backaches which hinder her work on the pubs. For one of our writers, who is suffering from heart pains & shortness of breath.
         For Amy, a member of Dad & Mama's staff who's had a longstanding back problem as a result of a previous injury. It has been better off & on, but lately the pain has intensified, resulting in a lot of discomfort & difficulty in performing her duties.

                  NOTE: Especially since the "Tony Series" has been published, many people are now realising the seriousness of their spiritual problems (as are their Shepherds), & that it is urgent that they get a full victory right away. The continued service & usefulness of most of those listed below are virtually at stake right now. Remember what Jesus told Peter, "Simon, Simon, Satan hath desired to have thee, that he may sift thee as wheat; But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not!"--Luk.22:31,32. The kind of changes these people make in the next few weeks will determine whether they wish to remain in the Family or not. So please pray earnestly for them, that if the Lord knows they are worthy of the high calling of being in the Family, He will help them to make the major commitment necessary & show forth fruits meet for repentance.--And if not, that He will give them an alternate place of service where they can still do something for Jesus.
NORTH & SOUTH AMERICA:
         Heidi (17-1/2, daughter of Sos & Ahlai), who has a genetic disorder & whose handicaps include curvature of the spine, some malformed bone structure, heart palpitations, & sporadic hearing problems. Doctors say she needs an ear operation to prevent partial deafness. She is a walking miracle! She leads a normal life for the Lord & really has a love for the Lord, & is for the most part very victorious. GBH! Pray for her healing, her heart, her strength & encouragement. (Mama: I'm praying for you, Heidi. GBY for being such a brave soldier. You are such a good example to all of us.)
         Nic's (Donato's) tongue has almost completely healed & his eating was going quite well. However, the main tooth holding the bridge in his mouth broke & he had to have it pulled, & now we'd like to ask for your prayers for the hole in his mouth to heal, as this hinders his eating.
         Sharon, in Nic & Angela's Home, who has been having a battle with her feet, & can barely walk due to the pain. The doctor diagnosed it as an inflammation of the tendons in the bottom of both her feet. She's been taking some pills for relief of the inflammation, as well as pain killers, & has to stay off her feet most of the day. Please pray that it will heal quickly as it's been a problem for about five weeks now.
         Paul (12, of Barnabas & Cielo) has been totally deaf since birth. He is very far behind in reading as it seems deaf kids have a hard time learning to read, & he reads on about a first grade level, so he is really behind spiritually too as he can't hear or read the Word. He can only get what is given to him in sign language, which is very limited. Pray that the Lord will totally heal him & open his ears, that he can hear God's wonderful Word & be able to read it. "He maketh both the deaf to hear, & the dumb to speak. For with God nothing shall be impossible." (See Mk.7:32-37, Luk.1:37.)
         For the Family in Brazil, as the Enemy is continuing to wage a major campaign against us, promoted by the local TV media giant "Globo" (which is operated by Satanists). The raiding of our Homes did not result in enough "evidence" or action on the part of the officials, so the Enemy is continuing his vicious campaign against us, & at last report, the word is that our enemies plan to raid all our Homes before Christmas & put the children in foster homes & deport all adults, etc. As the Brazilian Family has resisted the Enemy & each onslaught, he has fled from them, & as we, the worldwide Family, continue to fight in prayer along with them, we know the Lord will continue to get the victory & not allow His Work to be hurt or His little ones taken. Seek the Lord as you would if your children were in Brazil, because they are your children!
         One of our kings in Brazil, that through the current persecution, he will grow stronger in faith, conviction & wisdom, & come closer to the Word, our Message & Dad & the overall Family. Also for his health & especially his protection, as there have been enemy threats of him being kidnapped. Pray the Lord will continue to bless & use him for the Work's sake.
         Tim, an assistant in one of our NO Offices. In order to continue in shepherding, Tim needs to get victories in yieldedness & faith, & to no longer desire leadership. Please pray against man-pleasing & the fear of man, the habit of negative & critical thinking, doubts, fears & nervousness, & that Tim & his wife, Rejoice, will gain trust & humility & will surrender to God's Will.
         Pepe (12-year-old retarded & severely handicapped child of Ebed & Estrela), who has been institutionalised & under medication for several years now. That the Lord will have mercy & release him from his earthly body which holds him down.
         Chris (in Brazil), who has had to be sternly corrected for his very serious long-standing problems with criticism, envy & disunity with other leadership.--That he will take his correction wholeheartedly & learn all the lessons he needs to, & that he will yield to the humbling & breaking so that the Lord can remake him into what He wants Chris to be.
         For a Home in South America under investigation by the police & child welfare authorities. Although our enemies have not been able to make a case against us, they have not given up looking for a cause, & the Family there have been harassed quite a bit: They have to keep the judge informed of their whereabouts, the police have come twice to check everyone's documents, the children have been questioned by a psychologist, etc.
         Please pray for their continued security, as the local Catholic church, out of jealousy & fear of us, has mounted a slanderous attack, accusing the Family of prostituting children & child trafficking. Pray also for the judge, that he will close the case quickly. In spite of the Enemy's attempts to stop their very powerful Christmas outreach, the Family there has been on an all-out witnessing attack, & are growing & prospering.
         For David of Susanna in Argentina: David, a national disciple & one of the Home Shepherds in Argentina, has rheumatism, which makes it difficult & painful for him to walk & use his hands. For his complete healing from this affliction, that the Lord will completely loose his joints & free him from the pain.
         For Gabe (21), who has had serious, long-standing spiritual problems for several years, & has to make an immediate decision about whether he wants to change & stay in the DO Family.
         For Servant (Secundus) & Seek, who have long-standing serious spiritual problems, including self-righteousness.
         Katherine (former mate of Ricky), who is battling with serious doubts, bitterness & murmurings against the Family, & needs some immediate major victories in her life.
EUROPE:
         Against Teresa Lema, the District Attorney, & Pro-Juventud, the Catholic anti-cult organisation, who are still fighting us in Barcelona; that the Lord will change the heart of the judge, Pilar Martin Coscola, who has been compromising with our enemies. (TTL, at least the children have been able to remain with their parents & have been a good testimony in their System schools, which they are now forced to attend.)
         For Angelo's lawyer, Antonio, that the Lord will keep working in his life & make him into a real friend & disciple. Fighters like him are so rare that when the Lord sends one across our path, we should pray the Lord will pull them in as far as possible.
         For peace on the streets of Moscow, as well as for the safety of our shoppers & teams there. Some of the people from the southern Soviet republics are heading for the big city & taking advantage of the lawlessness, relaxed rules & free enterprise, & have been taking control of the price of food sold in the markets & other business, charging extremely high prices. With them has come a lot of increased crime, robbery & even murder.
         Against backslider Marie Christine & her deprogrammer husband, Ian Haworth, who are working in league with Valerie & others to stir up trouble for the Family in Western Europe.--That the Lord will silence their mouths & stop their media campaign (Tit.1:11), & that our Homes will have good relations with the public & the authorities, & the freedom they need to continue their ministries & outreach fruitfully.
PACIFIC & THE EAST:
         Tim (of Charity), who is needed in leadership but needs some major victories in the areas of being more prayerful, more positive, & having more of a Shepherd's heart. Also against spiritual lethargy, which has hindered him from taking initiative as a Shepherd or really growing. He desires lasting victories, but there seems to still be some unyieldedness in spite of several prayers of deliverance over the past years.
         Solomon Touchstone & his long-term problems with independence, self-righteousness, unyieldedness & operating on feelings. These problems almost resulted in his backsliding, but he took a stand after the Tony Series & wants to gain lasting victories.
         For Joan Claire (19), who has some of the same serious problems as Tony.
         Snowy (Eman Artist), who is now participating in a special disciplinary & retraining program, & who is doing well & making major progress. He & his artwork have been a great blessing to all of us, so we're sure you'll now want to show your appreciation for his service to the Family by upholding him in your prayers. Thanks!
         For our kings in Japan & their wisdom in business matters involving the Family; their continued progress, yieldedness, & that the Lord will continue to make them a great blessing.
         Australian Promise: A complete victory over her stubbornness, rebellion & unyieldedness, & to be able to forsake the past & begin a new life.
         Peace (Jael): For victory over self-righteousness & a critical spirit, & emotional attachment to her System relatives.
         Zena (mated to Indian Kanti): For long-lasting victories over self-righteousness, worldliness & for the humility to be a loving wife & mother, & a dedicated, sold-out Family Member.
         Australian Becky, who has recently made a stand against sensitivity, negative thinking & belittling herself, which until now have been rendering her talents rather unusable. That the Lord will help her to fall in love with Him, trust the future totally to His hands, & learn to recognise & resist the negative thoughts that have so hindered her in the past.
         Tina (14, of Isaac & Australian Becky), who has been diagnosed with a rare spinal infection that could result in her becoming crippled; for a miraculous deliverance & healing that will be a testimony to all concerned, & that Tina will draw close to the Lord through this time of testing & become the dedicated disciple He wants her to be.
         Regarding the court case of Lamb & her children, we need to pray against her insane ex-husband who continues to fight against her & has a legal right to visit, that the Lord will get him out of the way. Against Sandra (Trusty), a very antagonistic backslider involved in this case, that she will continue to expose her true colours & discredit herself & be defeated. Several times she harassed witnesses testifying in Lamb's behalf & has been sharply rebuked by the judge & threatened with jail, PTL! Against the policewoman who is one of the main accusers & wants the children taken away from both parents & put into custody as wards of the State. Against Kevin, a lawyer & former friend of the Family who has been turned against us by our enemies & is falsely accusing us & planning to testify against us.
         Pray for the next hearing of Lamb's case, which has been postponed to March of 1992, that it will turn out to her advantage. For Ivan, Lamb's lawyer, that the Lord will continue to anoint him in defending her. For the judge to continue to be open & fair. For the encouragement & strength of Lamb & her children, who have been having to live by themselves, with the exception of a couple of Family Members, & have not had much Family fellowship; & that the children whom the Lord has invested so much in will not be harmed & will stay where they belong in the Lord's Family.
         Also, that this court case will vindicate the Family & that we will be cleared of all the false accusations which our enemies in this country have tried to pester our Family with for many years, so that the Family there can again prosper & bear fruit without being distracted & hindered by attempted persecution & bad publicity by our enemies.
