PRAYER REQUESTS!--No.1
Dear Family,     DO 7/91
         GBY! We love you & thank the Lord for each of you, for your faithful service, love for the Lord & others, & your prayers! Thanks especially for your faithfulness in continuing to uphold Dad in your prayer vigils!--The Lord has certainly honoured and answered your requests for his health and strength, PTL! "Prayer is such a powerful weapon! It's such an effective instrument!--Oh thank You Lord for those precious prayer warriors taking their time & strength to pray for me in these hours when I need it the most! It's the greatest comfort I think I've had in years!" (ML #2065:30,40)
         Since there are many situations coming up from time to time that we know the Lord can resolve through the united prayer of our worldwide Family, we want to pass on some of these prayer requests to you & ask that you please remember these people & situations in your prayers. The Lord can use your prayers to turn the tide, even in seemingly "impossible" situations. As Mama said in "Prayer Jewels #1," "The Lord wants us to see that He is all-powerful & He controls everything & He can do whatever He wills & whatever He wishes, no matter what the circumstances are! He also allows such situations so we'll really get desperate with Him & really depend on Him!" (ML# 2623:69)
         So we would greatly appreciate your prayers for the following situations, & know that the Lord will use them, since "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much"!--James 5:16. We hope to make this list of prayer requests a regular publication, D.V., sharing not only requests for prayer but also the Lord's answers.
         You can use this prayer request list in several ways--by praying for certain sections of it during your daily devotions, using it on your prayer vigil, cutting it up into individual requests & passing them out to each member of the Home, etc.--And as you think of these different situations during the day, you can "turn every thought into a prayer" for them, as Mama suggested in "Prayer Jewels #2!" (See ML #2624:88-92.) "The Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends."--Job 42:10.
         Some of the prayer requests which follow have been edited for security. We're sorry we can't share the full specifics of each request, but we thought you'd want to know of them anyway. PTL! We love you & are praying for you!
DAD & MAMA:
         Answer to Prayer!: Thank the Lord, Dad's doing very well & hasn't had any more problems from that devilish disease, shingles! And also, another miracle, he hasn't had any more diarrhea! Thank You Jesus! But please continue to pray for:
         * Dad's strength & health; against coughing or recurrence of diarrhea.
         * That Dad's juices & liquefied foods will go down without any blockage, so that he will be able to get the nourishment he needs. When his food stops going down, it is not only painful but prevents his getting any other nourishment, sometimes for several hours. Please pray for his complete healing.
         * Preventative prayer for Dad's eyes, that they'll stay strong! He uses them a lot!
         * For Dad's sweet & undisturbed sleep, for good dreams & against nightmares.
         * That Dad will be able to get enough exercise, & that he won't slip & break any bones. If he were without the use of his legs for any period of time, he would be unable to get any exercise & it would be very bad for his health. Let's claim, "He keepeth all of his bones.--Not one of them is broken."--Psa. 34:20
         * Dad's classes with the Family!
         * Mama thanks you very much for your prayers & is very happy to report that in spite of her serious eye affliction, she has experienced very few headaches. Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus! However, she would like you to continue to pray that she will learn whatever lessons the Lord has for her so that she can be healed, & also for her general health & strength.
         * Techi & David are doing beautifully. Please pray for continued victories & progress.
PUBS, VIDEO & AUDIO TAPES:
         * Pray for more WS Pubs labourers--there's so much to do!
         * Work on new Kids' Pubs: Children's stories, Talk Times, Games etc.!
         * Video Ministry--more Kiddie Viddies in the works, as well as a new GP Video series for JETT-age children.
         * For the Lord to raise up songwriters for our GP children's Video series!
         * For our Studios--New Audio Tapes in the works! For the Bible Character Song Tape to be finished in time for our Christmas push. For the Teen Endtime Scripture Tape.
WORLDWIDE:
         * For our worldwide Leadership!
         * For the Delegates' Meetings, RTPs & Seminars underway worldwide.
         * Implementation of the Discipleship Training Revolution in all our Homes.
         * For the Lord to raise up lawyers for each Home worldwide.
         * For kings & supporters, inheritances & windfalls!--And more faith for finances.
         * For our children's health & safety worldwide.
         * For our Teens & JETTs to learn more & more to be the witnesses the Lord wants them to be, with a fervent love for the lost & a real joy in their witnessing & soul-winning.
         * Worldwide Video, Tape & Poster distribution.
         * For the cooperation of new TSers relocating from our DO Homes, & their being able to easily accept new TS policies & Advisories.
EUROPE:
         * Barcelona: For the soon deliverance of our children there who are still in custody. For our Family's & lawyers' fight & determination!
         * For Family king helping us in Great Britain.
         * Eastern Europe: For the MISSLE teams' Summer outreach, the EE translators & mail ministries, follow-up seminars & the new EE catacombers.
         * For the tightening border situation in Europe (especially E.Europe), not to adversely affect our work.
NORTH & SOUTH AMERICA:
         * Against cholera epidemic in Peru which is spreading throughout Latin America--pray our Family won't in any way get touched by this plague, & that restrictions on exports, as a result, won't affect the Latin American Family financially.
         * For Donato, one of our older Family Members, who has cancer of the tongue. (Please see the FN Encyclopedia, Pgs. 271 & 678, for his testimony.)
         * Family's encounters with influential friends in Latin America, & the setting up of DF Homes.
         * Against anti-cult group "Pro-Juventud" in Mexico who are fighting us, stirring up the government & the media.
         * Against brewing persecution! We've had reports that our enemies are planning a new wave of persecution in Latin America within the next few months.
PACIFIC & EAST:
         * Against TSer in the Pacific who caused 10:36 problems with DO Family wife & kids. The custody hearing has been postponed till August. Protection of the overall Work there.
         * For Mary Mom, one of our worldwide MOM Ministry leadership, who is presently heading up one of our major Schools & who is quite weak from a recent miscarriage.

         "You'd be surprised how much God depends on your prayers, how concerned you are & how interested you are. You're His hands, his feet, His eyes & His heart. Prayer is powerful! When we pray, things will happen & things will be different. God will answer prayer!" (546:5,8)
         "As for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you."--1Sam.12:23.
