FJWL_01:423
A marriage is a sacred thing to Me, and what I have joined together, let no man put asunder. It is during times of testing and trial and battle that I prove you. In My Kingdom, those that stand by another and love them and encourage them and help them through their affliction and their hard times are heroes and knights and strong soldiers.--Not the ones who only look for the good times and the fruitful times, or the
apparent fruitful times.
         The
true fruit and true unity and true strength of a relationship comes through these times of struggle and of lifting up the other one. Have I not said that one cannot stand alone? For if he falls, he needs someone to help him.
When you see your wife in need and in pain, you need to be moved with compassion to pray for her, to comfort her, to show her love and sympathy and be soft toward her. Don't get exasperated and fed up, or feel put off if she is weaker for a time. Don't feel like it is a big inconvenience and it's really hampering your service for the Lord, but look at her with sympathy and tenderheartedness. Take her in your arms and comfort her, love her, weep for her, and especially pray for her.
If you can't have love and tenderness and compassion for this dear woman who is your wife, then how can you have love and compassion for the sheep and others? Let the Lord use this in your life to teach you to be a good shepherd, a mender of wounds, a healer. The Lord will use even this to work in your life, and it will bring forth much good fruit.
I have put you together as a couple to help one another. And how can I make you the shepherds that you must be unless you are tested and tried, and your faith is strengthened through these things?
