         (Dad:) Even if someone has been weakened mentally by listening to the voice of the Enemy for long enough that it's actually weakened their channel with the Lord to where they can no longer recognize the truth from the lie, there's still hope for them. It doesn't mean that they'll be in a weakened mental state permanently.
         Look at dear Leila! [See ML #947, "Freedom From Fear!"] She was under the Enemy's control, and he had her in such bondage through fear that she could hardly even hear the verses that I was repeating to her. She couldn't even hear the Lord's voice. But she pulled through--the Lord gave her the strength--and she got a tremendous victory by accepting the Lord's love. So people who have been through that can turn it into a real strength in their lives by just staying yielded, obedient, and close to the Lord.
