Dear Family,
GBY! We love you & thank the Lord for you & your fervent prayers, which have truly had some wonderful responses--healings, deliverances, miracles of supply, protection & provision! Thank You Jesus!
We trust that you understand that these PLs do not attempt to gather all the answers to prayer that our Family has on a daily basis worldwide!--As these are far too numerous to record in a brief bulletin! TTL! Rather, the "Answered Prayers" in the PLs are generally responses to specific Prayer Requests that have been brought before the worldwide Family in previous PLs (although sometimes other notable answered prayers are included).
In order to keep the Prayer List down to a manageable number of pages, as well as in consideration of your precious time in prayer, we've had to word all prayer requests as concisely as possible. In the "Answered Prayers" section, we've also had to take out expressions of thanks to you, dear Family, for your prayers. We trust that you will realise that with each answered prayer comes much thanks & appreciation for your prayers. We're sorry we can't include each individual's words of thanks to you, but we just don't have the space. Also, we've dropped most of the "Hallelujahs," "PTLs" etc. to conserve space, although we trust you'll still praise the Lord for His wonderful answers to prayer!
In both the "Answered Prayers" & "Prayer Requests" sections we've edited out phrases such as, "We just want to ask you to pray for...", "Thank you for your prayers which are working wonderfully", "We'd like to claim total healing for...", "For the Lord to anoint...", or even "For...", "Please pray for his deliverance...", & "Please pray for his complete deliverance" etc. Neither do we have to say, "Please pray for his healing" (or deliverance) or "Please pray for his complete healing" (or complete deliverance), because all these things are inferred.
Another phrase that we will be editing out is, "Please pray that they won't have to undergo surgery." The goal for everyone is to be healed without surgery--although we acknowledge that there will be times when medical treatment may be involved--but rather, if it be possible, that "this cup should pass from them."--Mat.26:39.
Another word that we will be eliminating much of the time is "serious," as in "a serious case of asthma." All prayer requests in the PL should be considered serious, serious enough to pray desperately for those involved. For example, some people in the System with asthma have been even known to die from it! So when a prayer request says "asthma," please keep in mind that asthma can be life-threatening, or at the least, very difficult for those who have it.
In prayer requests for children, rather than asking for specific prayer for the parents or helpers, that they'll be comforted & learn any lessons the Lord is trying to teach them, etc., from now on it should be understood that that is what you should pray for.
Although human nature is such that having more of these details might make us more inclined to pray more desperately for a given situation, we're trusting that in the absence of such details you will continue to beseech the Lord on the behalf of these different individuals, that the Lord will comfort & help them draw close to Him & to learn precious lessons during their time of testing or affliction, as well as granting the prayer request they've mentioned.
Regarding the "Summary of Continued Prayer Requests from Past PLs," in general, even though some situations may continue month after month, we may not be able to repeat these prayer requests in each Prayer List until the person is healed or delivered. As much as possible, we will try to leave these in the PLs for a period of three months if ongoing prayer is needed, but after that, these will probably have to be dropped from further PLs, knowing that your faithful prayers for this particular individual will be reflected not only in the present but also continue to work in the future too, PTL! Actually, with the Prayer List getting longer & longer each issue, we may not even be able to continue to carry these over for three months, so might reconsider this in future issues of the PL. Each new PL contains more & more "Answers to Prayer," plus many new prayer requests, all of which cause these PLs to grow in length, not to speak of taking longer to get out! So in future issues, we may have to make the rule that there will be no prayer requests carried over from previous PLs, unless it is an exceptional case where we feel so led.

P.S.: Mama recently said that, although at first it may seem like there are a lot of severe afflictions in our Prayer List, the things we suffer are relatively minor in comparison to what the System suffers, & the Family has far fewer cases of these afflictions!
For example, in PL 5 there were 16 adults & 24 children listed who might be considered as battling "severe afflictions." Since there are 3,399 TRF adults in the Family, that's far less than 1% of our adult population of TRFers (4/10ths of 1%). With 5,525 children, it's also only 4/10ths of 1% of our children. So there were 40 severely afflicted Family Members out of a total of 9,000. Even if there were that many more who did not ask for prayer during that month, that would still be less than 1% of our total Family TRF population! PTL!
In contrast, here are a few stats on the state of health problems & care in the United States. America, with its overall high standard of living, should be one of the more healthy nations. (Most of these stats are from 1990, so things may be even worse now!): About 10% of the U.S. population spent an average of 7 days in the hospital in 1990, & on the average, everyone in the U.S. visits a hospital outpatient clinic one-&-a-half times per year. Americans spend $650 billion on health care annually, which is roughly 12% of their GNP (Gross National Product).
So, as Dad says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the unrighteous have many more afflictions & much more severe!" Thank the Lord for His protection & deliverance!
ANSWERED PRAYERS: (May be read to JETTs also.)
Dad & Mama are both feeling healthy & strong. In answer to your prayers, Dad's eyes are doing very well, he's keeping up his strength & he's been able to get good exercise & has not had any problems with slips or falls, PTL! He also has not been disturbed by any bad dreams. The Lord has really been answering prayer in that Mama has not had any serious headaches, PTL!
Australia: After 142 of our children were unjustly seized in a dawn raid by authorities who broke down the doors of our Homes, & incarcerated them in Social Services institutions for six days, the judges ruled that the children should be returned to their parents! The Lord miraculously raised up influential lawyers to fight for us & friends to speak on our behalf, to refute the slanderous lies being spread about us. In the end, when the children were released, much of the media coverage was in our favour, with many people outraged at the treatment we & our children had received! The Opposition political party is calling for a full inquiry into the government's handling of this situation, which some have called "Australia's greatest departmental bungle in history!" PTL!
Please see the full story in the accompanying publication, "Victories in Australia," which can be read by JETTs through adults. This testimony should be photocopied in full & sent to any parents, friends or contacts who may have heard about the persecution of our Family in Australia but haven't heard our side of the story. Even if they may not have heard about it, if you think it would be good for them, please send it. Publish "glad tidings of good things!"--Rom.10:15. A space has been left at the beginning for you to jot a personal note to anyone you send this to.
Victory in the Barcelona court case!--Total vindication in spite of the lies of our enemies! The District Attorney, who is in charge of both the civil & penal court cases against our Family in Barcelona, had been recommending that our children be kept in the custody of the State. Not content with that, she had made several serious charges against the brethren that could have meant their incarceration, had attacked the Family as a whole, requested that our group be declared illegal in Spain, & was also trying to turn the case into an international case against the Family! This had generated a huge wave of negative publicity in Barcelona.
However, just as we were about to send off PL 7, we received word that the judge in the civil case (the major case) has totally absolved the Family from any guilt--completely freed our children & compared the treatment they were given to that of a Russian concentration camp! Now the parents are free to go wherever they wish with their kids, & to teach them the way they wish, according to their convictions & beliefs! TYJ!
The outstanding thing about it is that the judge's verdict went further than a mere decision, as in his official verdict he made a powerful defense of our legal rights & exposed our enemies' conspiracy, even calling them "inquisitors" at one point! He also strongly criticized all the authorities involved in the case, from the Police & the D.A. to the Welfare Agency!
The D.A. had given this judge a list of her accusations against us in the other Barcelona court case, obviously as an attempt to negatively influence his final decision. Instead it had the opposite effect on him, as his official verdict described in detail how unfounded each of the D.A's accusations are, & he called us "an attacked group" in a statement that virtually could have been written by a Family Member! GBH!
The newspaper "El Pais" (a major Spanish daily) called the judge's verdict "a bucket of cold water for the D.A., not because the judge gave the custody of the children back to the parents, but because of the terms & arguments used." Another newspaper stated that, after the judge's decision, "the people who are against the sects are very demoralized!" In fact, the papers have gone from printing material against us to printing material that is now 90% favourable! Thank God for the victory!
From Barz (PL 4:1): We really appreciate everyone's prayers & we know that the Lord is answering. He actually already has delivered us spiritually from so many of the horrible things here, & we know that it will just be a matter of time before He delivers us physically, so we can increase our work for the Lord.
The Fast was a real turning point for all of us here & a real high point in this entire battle to be able to unite with others at this time. It was a real sobering experience for the Teens & all of us to just stop everything & get into the Word. It was a miracle how the Lord worked it out that the kids had that Friday off from school & I had it off from my work, & we even had Monday off, so we did have the entire 3 days free for that purpose. It was a real inspiration, sobering, a definite rededication & recommitment to the Word & to serving the Lord 100%.
Our new baby: The birth of Rebekah Marie was really a testimony. She was born at about one o'clock in the afternoon on the 26th of February. I was reading Good Thots to Esther during the labour & a lot of doctors & nurses & people commented on it & wanted to know where we got such a wonderful book, mentioning that they had heard a lot of the different poems. Then all of a sudden, after about two contractions, out popped Rebekah without any problems. Esther didn't tear, & the baby came out so smooth. We were praying & as soon as the baby came out, Esther started praising the Lord & saying, "Thank You Jesus, Hallelujah," & it was really a testimony to all the doctors standing around. The doctor even said that we had the most ideal delivery & they would have loved to have had it on video to encourage other parents & doctors.
Some people there had recognised my name, & the whole hospital was talking about the 20/20 show & about Vivian & the kidnapping. There were a lot of people asking questions--they were curious about us. We testified & witnessed to them that we've been missionaries all along, that this is how we've been living & we are not doing anything different today than we did in Thailand. We also shared that Vivian kidnapped the kids, & 20/20 was full of lies & deceit & twisted truths! We took that opportunity to kind of sock it to people.
Esther was really faithful to witness how she had been a Buddhist & became a Christian because of the Family.--That we really have nothing to hide, we're not doing anything against the law or anything wrong, & all of the things that they tried to use against us are lies.--It was really a testimony!
My new job: I started my new job, & there are 45 employees. It's quite a responsibility, as it's a 160-bed hospital & nursing home combined. I am the Department head or the Director of the Dietary Services. I basically oversee the entire food service operation.
Caleb, who is in the 8th grade, entered an essay contest & won one of the top honours with an essay on religious freedom. It really hit the nail on the head about the need for the Bible in schools. It's encouraging how even though Vivian tried to kidnap the kids & pollute them, they're standing up even stronger than ever!
We love you & wanted to pass on lots of love & thanks to everyone who has been so faithful to the Lord & to pray for us!
Vivian, Barz' backslidden ex-mate (PL 4:25): The State Welfare Department has asked Barz to be the star witness against Vivian in a welfare fraud case! They are now preparing to bring charges against her, as she had been receiving welfare illegally for 7 months after he had custody of all the children. Vivian could face charges for this.
God's judgements on Spain! In "Prayer Against Our Enemies in Spain" (ML #2610 in GN 450), Dad specifically prayed against our enemies in Spain. The Family in Europe & particularly in Spain prayed specifically against the Expo (1992 World's Fair, held in Sevilla) & the Olympic Games that will be held in Barcelona this year. Martin (former NAS of Spain) noticed an article in the newspaper with headlines saying that Expo '92 is "cursed" because so many things are going wrong at the Fair! Some of the things that are happening: The "Victoria," a replica of Christopher Columbus' ship, sank 20 minutes after it set sail; one pavilion caught fire & the inside was completely destroyed; the night before opening, another pavilion, which was made of wood & bamboo, caught fire. Also, during the inauguration, punks & Latin American Indians held violent demonstrations in the center of Sevilla & in front of the Fair, followed by arrests & people wounded.--And the EEC Pavilion had to be closed for a day because the whole "European" area was completely flooded due to a defect in the plumbing system. Praise the Lord! "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord, I will repay!"
EA Becky (PL 5:9): Becky is continuing to make rapid progress & the Lord has done beautiful miracles in her life. She is now taking care of an MC group, giving them Word classes, scholastics, & Get-Out & caring for them all day. The Lord has really helped her with her fear of speaking, as she's now pouring out to, teaching, & praying with the children constantly, GBH! The soft spot on her head is decreasing & she is very healthy & spunky, taking part in all Get-Outs & Home activities & being a real blessing!
Magdalena of Santiago (PL 4:35): The Lord has rewarded Santiago & Magdalena's faith with a ray of hope, in that despite her serious condition, Magdalena has started to gain weight again & her health has improved slightly! This is the first positive sign, when in the natural, all seemed lost & everything was all by faith & not by sight. Thank the Lord for how He has rewarded our faith with a positive sign!
One of our FSM Editors (PL 4:14) was almost instantly delivered from long-standing severe backaches. Headaches have been much less intense & less frequent.
Hungarian Janos (PL 4:39) went in for an examination & was officially declared unfit for military service!
Mercy Ledbetter (PL 2) is much happier & more content. Her countenance is brighter, & she has been delivered from the negative thought patterns, & is submitting herself & her will to His higher Will & Plan.
Christopher (1-&-1/2), contracted meningitis but has been making an amazing recovery, which doctors have admitted is miraculous.
Nana Chan: After desperate local prayer, seven-month-old Nana Chan of Japanese Jewel is making a miraculous recovery from bacterial meningitis! The doctor said she had contracted the worst case there is, & in his 13 years of practice she is the first one who survived this bacteria, as all the former patients he had known of died within 24 hours. After a few weeks in the hospital she miraculously recovered all her faculties, both physical & mental, & was able to return home, providing she comes for regular check-ups. The doctor was using strong anti-convulsion drugs for the first week, which he said had strong side effects, such as that once you start, you need to keep taking this drug daily for over a year to avoid recurring convulsions. However, Nana Chan has been off the drugs for weeks now with not one single convulsion.
Tina, 14, of Isaac & Australian Becky (PL 3:54) has been healed of the "incurable" spinal disease that could have led to her becoming crippled, & is now able to participate even in vigorous Get-Outs! The Lord has taught her to fight & claim this victory herself & not lean on the faith of others, & the pain is almost completely gone!
Teen Inspiration Video: After the IVM realised they'd need a little more time to lay the groundwork & prepare for the filming of this important Video, they were miraculously able to get a 2-week delay in the rental of the auditorium, video & audio equipment!
Baby Marie of Jay & Sarah, who had hepatitis, is completely healed & the Lord protected the rest of her Home from catching anything! We were just about to put baby Marie on this Prayer List when the Lord so speedily healed her. PTL!
The Lord's protection during the recent explosions in Guadalajara (From the Home Shepherd in Guadalajara): "Yesterday we went to the area of town that suffered the gas explosion & we witnessed for almost 2-&-1/2 hours & won 50 souls! The people there were very receptive to our message. We were also able to witness to some of the rescue workers, who told us that it is impossible to estimate how many people died. There are also thousands left homeless & brokenhearted. One of the prophecies the Lord gave us for our part in this situation is `to be faithful to give our two fish & five loaves & He will multiply it.'"
More of the Lord's protection in California: "The Devil must be really mad at the impact of our uniting to defeat him in North America, as we had quite a serious earthquake (6.1) which most of our Homes felt (though no problems, TTL, in a miraculous answer to prayer). The radios were all broadcasting that the seismologists reported that it looked like the foreshock to `the big one' & there was a wave of fear & apprehension in the public. We had just read the strengthening Persecution FSMs which reinforced what Dad's always taught us, to `attack fear like you attack the Devil!' & we prayed for the Lord to defuse it so we can continue to get out the `meat' here a little longer--& He did! It sure shook up Los Angeles though, facilitating our job! (Our Teens were witnessing at the Teen Club at the time of the quake & the kids were singing & hardly noticed it--just thought the Spirit was `falling' really heavy, ha! All 20 visitors got saved, praise God!) Also, the same day there was a serious plane crash & 16 skydivers were killed, & six more injured. We think one of them was a young instructor we had led to the Lord. Praise God that He is helping us along by allowing it & using it to bring on more desperation in the people we witness to.--Real `Signs of the Times!'"
Los Angeles: The Lord cares for His Own! None of our Homes were in the areas affected by the riots, & everyone was safe. The Posters were more readily received everywhere, as people were very shaken up by these recent events. The Lord miraculously supplied 5,000 pounds of canned goods for survival just two weeks before the riots broke out!
The Mexico Training Center (PL 5:136): After the initial visit by the local newspaper they had no further visits, nor has there been any further anti-cult activity.
Steven (formerly Shaul, PL 4:33): His back is much improved, with the discomfort greatly diminished.
Amor & her children (PL 5:134): Juda, her backslidden husband, took their 11-year-old son, who wanted to be with his father anyway. Juda has made no further attempts to cause trouble or get the other children. The situation is 100% better. Amor is now pressing on with a divorce, & legal custody of her remaining children.
Benji (2 yrs.), of Jordan & Praise (PL 5:135): His advanced case of eczema covering most of his body cleared up by 90-95% right around the time that the Family started praying for him. Since the Fast he has shown more progress & it was a turning point for his mother, who has made wonderful progress & gained many victories.
Malachi Teacher (PL 5:133), has made good progress & gained lots of victories.
Servant (of Rose, PL 5:127): His glaucoma is less & his eyes are doing much better, & he is beginning to see the lessons the Lord has had in this affliction.
Timmy (4), of Luke & Ava (PL 4:31): Rheumatoid arthritis has improved tremendously & he only needs a wheelchair for long walks.
Andr (7) of John & Marie: After PL 2 his condition improved so much he only needed monthly treatments & now the Lord not only has continued his healing, to the doctors' amazement, but also worked in the doctors' hearts so that they are now leaving the decision up to the parents whether or not they want to continue his treatments or medication. This is enabling them to act according to their faith, which is to stop all the medication & treatments. See Answered Prayer PL 5:14.
Simon (of Mary) (PL 5:130), is experiencing less pain from his severe hernias since the Fast but would still appreciate continued prayer.
Liz Grey, (age 67) (PL 5:111) has had a miraculous recovery from an initial stroke & serious relapse after taking a stand of faith to trust the Lord rather than return to the doctor. Within 2 months Liz has regained most of her strength & is walking & talking normally, PTL! We are having regular Bible studies with the Buddhist neuro-surgeon who received Jesus after seeing Liz's miraculous recovery.
Vietnam Trip (PL 4:49): The team had 16 miraculous witnessing days, winning 3 catacomb disciples.
Indonesian Michael of Sharon (PL 2 under "East"): Wonderfully delivered from epileptic attacks & learning beautiful lessons.
Teen Zion (17), of Gideon (Uriah Shondo) & Heidi, (PL 5:114), is gaining spiritual victories.
John (2-&-1/2) of Gideon (Uriah Shondo) & Heidi--Zion's younger brother (PL 5:114), has had no recurring epileptic attacks.
Kendra (13) of Jim & Lily (formerly James Bani & Mercy), (PL 4:53) is gaining spiritual victories & her kidney pain is decreasing.
Baby Gabriel, (2) (PL 2, under "East") of Matthew Psalms: Totally healed of constant fevers!
Housing in ASCRO Area, (PL 5:112): The Lord miraculously supplied 2 houses in Thailand.
Setareh, (2 months) of John & Jacinta Iranian (PL 5:122): Miraculously healed from a hernia.
John (Abel Seaman), of Rose Mideast, (PL 5:120) is doing better, more broken, yielded & fighting.
Olivia, (5-&-1/2) of David & Victory, (PL 5:115) has made marked progress in her growth, learning to write her name, becoming interested in reading, has gained one kilo & is more tuned into her surroundings.
Tim of Cheerful, (PL 5:117): Miraculously delivered from years of chronic asthma.
Dust (Chip) (Japanese) (PL 4:58): Has been making significant progress, as well as learning life-changing lessons.
The HCS & its security (PL 5:126): We have remained uninvolved in an investigation of a local murder case & the Lord has continued to keep us, in spite of several warning dreams. Our security has been kept by the Lord's hand & is undeniably fruit of prayer power.
From Family Care (PL 4:20): The Lord has supplied us with an inspiring location to work in & very needed personnel, & we now have the equipment needed to do the job the Lord has called us to do!
Brazilian kings (PL 5:20): One of our kings had a real breakthrough with his son, who was having violent thoughts & pictures. Recently he found his son wholly absorbed in & enjoying reading the GP Daily Might. When he drove him to school one morning he put "How to Win" on & his son flipped out over it & said, "Wow, Dad, where did you get this Tape?!" He didn't want to get out of the car & go into school, but just sat there & kept listening! TYJ! He also got to have a good talk with both his teen boys about the Lord & confirm their Salvation!
From Brazil Studio (PL 4:19): The Prayer Lists have really made a tremendous difference in our work, in our inspiration, in our unity, just the whole level of inspiration in our work throughout the day. We've had a lot less technical interference & gotten a steady flow of inspiration, ideas, lyrics & fresh ideas for arrangements & answers to questions in sequencing. Each of us has noticed a tremendous difference, seeing the answers to prayer & feeling those everlasting arms underneath a little bit stronger than we've felt them ever before, which we're really thankful for.
Main Centers decentralising (PL 5:83): In the last month 126 people have moved out of our Training Centres to new Homes all over Brazil! The Lord also supplied a large number of free flights as well as shipping of luggage!
Institution Ministry (PL 5:65): The Lord supplied a truckload of provisioned food & raised up a king to buy everything on the Needs List that Pepe's institution requested. The dear lady in charge is quite overwhelmed at the power of prayer & the Lord's abundant supply!
Anti-cult specialist Andrade (PL 2) showed up at our booth at a National Exposition recently, & was passing out pamphlets against us & trying to stir up trouble. He threatened to come back the next day with TV interviewers, but after desperate prayer, we contacted the Security Department of the Exposition, who said they'd throw him out if he returned. We called a lawyer friend who had received the Lord at a VIP Tour of a Home just a few days before, & he called Andrade & let him know that if he turned up at the Exposition he would not only be thrown out, but we would take legal action against him. He never showed up! Hallelujah!
Maria (of Aaron) (PL 5:151): Pain from varicose veins has completely disappeared!
Sharon had been suffering intense abdominal pain & some bleeding, which subsided after the Family prayed for her. The pain later returned, however, which a doctor diagnosed as a fallopian tube pregnancy. After a short operation, she's much better & is resting & recovering, very thankful for the Lord's protection & the Family's prayers!
Primavera (PL 5:148) hasn't had any headaches from diabetes in 7 weeks!
Eli (5) & Eric (2) (PL 5:147) have not had any asthma attacks since the Family's prayers for them, & Elias is healed of his stomach ulcer!
Precious & son Matthew (6) (PL 5:149) had typhus. After 1-&-1/2 months Matthew recovered, but Precious had a serious relapse. After the Family prayed, her next results came up negative, & both she & her son are now healed!
Peru (PL 5:143): The Lord has miraculously used Fujimori's takeover of the government to answer our prayers against the terrorists, as he is in an all-out war to round them up & bring them to justice. There have been many terrorists captured, & many of the ones who were still operating out of the corrupt Peruvian prisons are being tried for their crimes.
Bill (PL 2): After visiting a Family Home, where Bill & his wife were very touched by our kids & songs, he then learned who we were. He said knowing who we are made him believe in us more & makes him feel we must be doing something right if we have so much opposition!
Gideon (PL 4:70): After the prayer request for people having trouble sleeping, & after having a prayer of deliverance from negative thinking, he has been having the best night's sleep for many years!
The Dollar has gone back up to its previous high level against the Russian ruble, & the ruble is now more stable. (PL 5:90)
The Lord opened up another contact for stapling in Russia, so our printer didn't have to do it. (PL 5:91)
The Lord is integrating lots of new personnel into the Work & into several new Homes in Russia, & they are being a tremendous blessing! (PL 5:93)
Galina is feeling a lot better now & continues to be a great help to the Russian work! (PL 5:94)
Tremendous breakthrough in answering the huge backlog of 3,500 letters in the Russian Mail Ministry! (PL 5:97)
Mail Ministry in Poland (PL 5:97): The Lord has supplied new equipment & a new computer program, & they are receiving & sending out more mail than ever before.
The Lord supplied a new Combo Home in Hungary. (PL 5:99)
The Family wasn't able to print in Romania, but they were able to do the Romanian printing in Bulgaria, where due to cheaper prices they were able to print more than if they had printed in Romania. (PL 5:105)
Chris (Tim of Charity, PL 3:45) has seen much more clearly the areas he needs to work on & the hindrances that have slowed down his growth, & has really been fighting to get lasting victories.
Answered prayer!--You've come this far by faith! Happy birthday greetings to all those Family Members who have reached their 40th year! Forty is a very special number in the Bible, & you're very special to us! LIVES CHANGED!
In the past few years we've really grown as a Family, & in addition to physical healings there have been many spiritual healings & deliverances, TTL!--Which are sometimes even more miraculous & wonderful than the physical healings, since they involve overcoming bad habits that had taken root over years, or behaviour that was deeply engrained. Rejoice with us in the following "changed lives," just a sample of the many that have taken place in the Family!
(From Sharon:) "During our meetings here I saw such marvellous transformed lives sitting around me that I'd often just weep to see them, such as James (ex-Jubal) who is an ex-musician--formerly a real `cool' guy, who's now so changed & so obedient & such a faithful follower, such a real deacon of the Lord's Work. Also Tommy (ex-Zichri), who used to be the same type as these main `cult of the personality people' in South America--all these guys had the brazen, bold, loudmouth American-style spirit, who have just changed so much through the Lord & the Word in only two years. Sitting between Andrew (ex-Bochim) & Tommy & James at this meeting just made me weep to see how the Lord has changed them to be such diamonds of dust. They've been through breakings, through forsake-alls, they've lost wives & kids, they've separated, they've been abased, they've abounded, they've changed jobs, they've learned, they've confessed, they're honest, they're open, they're loyal.--It's beautiful to see these changed lives, & I feel that ever since the Fast, there have been many more such major changes in people's lives!"

For Dad & Mama's security: A critical security situation has arisen that needs your desperate prayers for their protection & continued safe-keeping! The Enemy is angry because we are attacking him full force & winning major victories!--We know we'll win this one too as we all unite in prayer!
Dad's sleep, both at night & during naps, is disturbed daily by violent coughing spells which wake both him & Mama from sleep, & make it difficult to get sufficient rest.
For the Family's continued obedience so that Dad may receive his healing. (Mama: As far as the Lord's healing for both of us, we're holding on to His promises because we know that what He has promised, He will, in His perfect time, also perform. We know that many of you also have to "keep on believing." It's a test of our faith, but through it we learn many precious lessons of patience, & also compassion for others.)
Dad's overall strength & against the Enemy's attacks on his health.
Dad's eyes, that they will continue to be strong & problem-free.
Dad's sleep, that it will be sweet & undisturbed by noise or bad dreams.
That Dad will be able to get enough exercise, & that he won't slip & break any bones. Continued safety & protection against accidents.
For Mama to be able to get her Healing Jewels edited & out to the Family, which the Lord has impressed upon her that she must do before receiving her healing. That the Lord will provide the needed helpers.
For Mama's ears, which occasionally hurt her, & are vital to her work.
That the Lord will miraculously continue to keep Mama from headaches.
Techi & David are doing beautifully. Please pray for continued victories & progress.
Dad & Mama's Staff, who play such an important part in their ministry & physical care in allowing Dad & Mama the time to do what only they can do.

Australian persecution: (See Answered Prayer #2, as well as "Victories in Australia!") Although the initial battle has been won, without a doubt our enemies will continue their attacks against us, as well as continue to gather dirt & false witnesses to use against us in the ensuing court cases in Australia. The actual allegations against the parents are apparently being formulated now, which could take up to three months to finalise. So the battle is definitely not over & we are going to need to continue to fight with desperate prayer & the Lord's wisdom! Please keep the Family there in your prayers, bringing the following prayer requests before the Lord:
--For the strength & conviction of all Family Members involved. For them to take time to get in the Word & stay in tune with the Lord, that they'll be able to concentrate on the Word & not be overwhelmed or swayed by the words of Man.
--That any propaganda the children have been subjected to by the Social Services will be able to be cleansed through the Word & they won't have any adverse effects. Against any doubts or lies or insidious insinuations against the Family that they might have been fed. That our children will quickly be able to pull out of any ill effects from this experience.
--That all adults & children can sleep at night & during their naps, as they need sleep & plenty of rest after this ordeal, & strength for the battle to come.
--For the Home teamworks & their very important jobs of guiding the Homes during this hectic, stressful time.
--For the Homes' finances & the Lord's supply.
--Further favourable media coverage that the international wire services will also pick up.
--That the Family there can seize every opportunity to get the Salvation & Endtime message out through the media, the mail, & the distribution of Videos, Tapes & Posters.
--That our children & adults who talk to the media will be good clear testimonies of our lifestyle.
--For the date of the hearing & our lawyer, Ivan, who is involved in both Lamb's custody case & the overall case concerning our 142 children. Opposition lawyers are attempting to schedule both hearings on the same day, June 22nd, which would mean he could only help in one case. This is apparently an attempt to put him out of action a little, as he has read a lot of Family pubs & knows how to use the Word against them in court. Please pray the hearings for the two cases will take place on different days.
--For Dr. Greg Woods, whose wife is seriously ill with cancer & is only expected to live a few more weeks.
--For Mr. Chris Murphy, who is now receiving bad press due to his association with us, with our enemies trying to dig up "dirt" on him.
--For Dr. David Milligan, cult expert who has spoken in our favour; that the barrage of lies from our enemies to dissuade him from standing up for us will not change his mind.
--For the Lord to continue to raise up those who will come to our support & defence in the battle ahead.
--That the Lord will help us to follow up on the many contacts & friends that have been made.
--Strength & help for desperately over-stretched Home teamworks & other personnel, now involved with the added responsibilities of P.R., major follow-up, media appointments, court appearances, community service visits, writing of daily reports & articles, etc.
--For our Family not to compromise their convictions in order to gain favour with people who promise to support them, but try to make it conditional.
--That the grandparents of the children involved will not be unfavourable, nor try to gain too much access to the children. That they will respect our lifestyle & not try to compromise it.
--That the Lord will continue to expose the powerful enemies behind all this & their motives.
--That our lawyers will stand strong in the face of the worldwide conspiracy against us, & that the Lord will give them courage to face our enemies bravely.
--For WS, those working on completing various statements & publications to be used in our legal defence worldwide.
Lamb's court case scheduled to resume June 22: Because of the publicity over our 142 children being released, our lawyers feel that this will help Lamb's case immensely. Please pray:
--That Lamb's case will go in our favour. (See FSM 215-219.)
--For wisdom in refuting our enemies' lies.
--That our Family witnesses who will be put on the stand will have real wisdom & boldness.
--That the Lord will confound & defeat our enemies in Australia, including Sandra & the Cult Awareness Network (CAN).

Our Teens & their witnessing: With the personal witnessing revolution & our commitment to get out the meat of the Word, our Teens are now spending more time out witnessing. This has been a source of great inspiration for many Teens, & has taught them many precious lessons, & encouraged them to make an even greater commitment in their lives. PTL! However, this increased contact with the System through more witnessing has also brought on a few battles & highlighted some areas that need strengthening in many of our Teens.
This need became more apparent recently when a Teen girl in one of our Homes left the Family. She had been quite unyielded in the past, & her Shepherds felt she had not been in real good spiritual condition for a while, previous to her leaving the Family. But as it turns out, her weakness & independence were fueled through contact she had with a teen boy that she was spending a lot of time witnessing to. The Teens had been spending several hours a day with this boy, witnessing to him on their own. But during these unsupervised hours when they were witnessing to him, he was also witnessing his lifestyle to them, making it sound very appealing & attractive--especially to this one Teen girl, who eventually decided she wanted to give up the fight & go try some of the so-called freedoms this System boy was offering her.
Of course, this is a very sad situation & many lessons were learned through it, & it became apparent that there were areas in the lives of the Teens in this Home that needed more supervision. In the heart-sharing & Pow-wows that followed, the other Teens in the Home confessed that they too had been faced with many battles when out witnessing, & they had let worldliness, System music, an attraction for the System, etc., creep into their lives.
If this type of problem is happening in one Home, it could very well be happening in other Homes too. Therefore we'd like to ask if you could please pray for our Teens & their witnessing. Please pray specifically for the following:
--That our Teens will be well-shepherded when out witnessing, & well-prepared for the battles & spiritual attacks they will face.
--That our Teens will have honest communication with their Shepherds about any doubts, questions or battles that arise as a result of their witnessing.
--Against worldliness, vanity, "coolness," System music & dress, etc.
--That the attraction to or desire to date System teens will not be a pull on our Teens.
--That our Teens will grow stronger in the Word & be able to proclaim the Truth with conviction, when System teens ask them questions or challenge their lifestyle, beliefs, etc.
--That the Lord will bless their witnessing, give them thrilling, rewarding experiences, & encourage them by causing them to bring forth fruit--saved souls & new disciples!
Please also pray that this Teen girl who left the Family will learn the lessons she needs to learn & come back to the Family fully dedicated to serving the Lord. Thanks!
While praying for this Teen, the Lord gave her Shepherds a convicting prophecy about our Teens. Following are portions of that prophecy, & comments from those Shepherds:
"Ye must stand up & fight for My little ones, ye must stand up & raise up a standard against the Enemy. The Enemy is coming in with a flood against My little ones. I have much in store for them, I have much that I want to do for them, but ye must prepare them to fight, ye must prepare them for war. It is not fun & games, it is a war! They must be prepared for this war, & they must be prepared for this battle, & ye must prepare them.
"Ye are warriors, ye have gone forth in the battle before them. Ye know the tricks of the Enemy, ye know the dangers that lie out there, ye have fallen into them yourselves. But ye must now prepare them. As generals & commanders of the war, ye must go out & prepare the troops for the battle, & prepare them for the fight, help them to know the Enemy, help them to recognise the Enemy. Help them to know what they are going into that they must fight against & attack.
"They are waging a war against the Enemy! They are waging a war with the Words of David, & the Enemy is angry! Ye are strong soldiers & strong warriors that have gone out & fought the Enemy in hand-to-hand combat, & ye know how to fight. He is not going to use the same tricks with you, but he is now using them on these little ones, & they are not prepared for this battle. They are in hand-to-hand combat with the Enemy, & you must prepare them to fight the Enemy in hand-to-hand combat."
In the other prophecies that were received when praying for this Teen, the Lord also gave a lot of specific points about searching out Shepherds with a heart for the Teens, Shepherds who would lay down their lives for them & make the sacrifices that are required to help them through their trials & battles. And the Lord said that if the Teens have these Shepherds, that they would go forth into the battle with real strength & power, but they needed to have those Shepherds!

One of our WS children's teachers, against continual painful sores on her face that cause headaches, eye strain & swollen glands.
Happy (Simon Peter), one of our script writers for Family Video projects, that the Lord will give him inspiration & joy in his work, & the conviction to stick to it & help bring forth much fruit in the lives of the viewers.
Musician with 10:36 parents: One of our main studio musicians, whose influential & formerly favourable parents have become irate & threatened the Family with serious persecution if they are denied the right to visit their grandchildren at will. That the Lord will defuse this potential problem, deal with the parents, & give those involved wisdom in handling the situation.
Meningitis: We've heard of isolated cases of meningitis cropping up around the World in our Family. Please pray against any further outbreaks, as this can be a serious health hazard, both to those who contract the disease, & to our Homes & the public. This is also a threat to your security, as public health officials are naturally intent on stopping the spread of this disease, which causes them to scrutinise our Homes when the disease crops up there, despite our high overall standard of health.
Against fallopian tube pregnancies: That the Lord will keep our dear mothers from this potentially fatal affliction & deliver us, as He has from so many other problems & illnesses!
Against car accidents & for our drivers. In a recent month's Comments & Suggestions, there were 8 car accidents reported! Although no one was hurt, & damages were minimal, each could have been much more serious or even fatal, except for the Lord's protection! Several involved driving on rainy days or icy roads, & in other cases the drivers were tired, going too fast or feeling pressured. Please pray that each of our drivers will drive prayerfully (& cautiously), obey the Lord's checks & those of their partners, & that the Lord will keep us & guard us from those who aren't driving prayerfully!
Pray against the Zee's, vindictive backsliders who write a newsletter against the Family. They've now gone so far as to endorse & promote the Cult Awareness Network, the biggest, most Satanic anti-cult group, run by the ACs, & are even spreading their lies throughout Eastern Europe!
Protection & repair of computer equipment. Against attacks of the Enemy via computer viruses, accidents, & lightning storms.

Nana (7 months) of Jewel, from after-effects of meningitis, specifically against any convulsions or twitches, & for her liver, which is not working so well. See Answered Prayer #13.
Korea: A tense situation between North & South Korea. Pray for continued peace so that the Family there may minister as long as the Lord wants them there.
Gabe Moonshine: That he will get lasting victories over bitterness, self-righteousness, pride & independence--spiritual problems highlighted by a recent car accident.
Peter Christian has two ruptured disks at the bottom of his spine. This causes him to have leg pain, headaches & interrupted sleep.
John at the Japan Service Center has had a dark spot in the center of his left eye for quite some time, which the eye specialists have said could cause blindness if it's not operated on.
Sean (13) of Silas: A "lazy eye," which is far-sighted, with a large difference between the vision in his two eyes. Because this wasn't caught earlier in his life, it is quite difficult to remedy now, but we are claiming a miracle healing!
Clare (11) of Mary MOM, very far-sighted, eyes deteriorating, also suffers from frequent headaches. We would like to pray specifically that before Sean & Clare's next visit to the eye doctor in six months, their eyes will have considerably improved.
Housing for fulltime Youth Club in Tokyo during the Summer months.
Jo: Haemorrhoids, making elimination painful.
Maggie (ex-Keda) has been a secretary for the past 2 years & has been a big blessing in her work. However, she has had difficult battles accepting this position of being a helper since she was used in shepherding & leadership roles in the past. This discontentment with her position has caused her to question the Lord & to yield to pride as well as to rebellion against authority, sensitivity to correction, & covering for her mistakes. Also, her sample of treating the "little people" condescendingly has confused many of the brethren working with & around her. Maggie has been desperate many times to overcome in these areas but we would like to ask for a real breakthrough in the spirit at this time.
Silas (HCS), against independence, critical thoughts & belittling his ministry.
For continued protection against an Interpol investigation based on false accusations against one of our brethren. For this brother who is under fire, that the Lord will protect him & give him wisdom in handling these very serious charges.
Possible Japan persecution: As you may recall from what was published in PL 4:47 & FSM 211, about six months ago brethren at the HCS received dreams warning them of coming persecution. Thank the Lord, He has miraculously kept them! PTL!
Recently, however, several brethren at the HCS & another Home in the area have again had very vivid dreams, which they feel are a definite warning that persecution, in the form of some sort of investigation or police raids, may be brewingin the not-too-distant future. In addition to these warning dreams, other strange events have been noticed at the HCS. The brethren seem to be under surveillance, as people have been seen standing in the shadows watching them. Also people have been seen taking pictures of the property, & when Family Members have approached them, they've quickly hidden their cameras & driven away. The brethren have heard people in the bushes at night. Also, they have found stolen goods & what looked like illegal drugs near or on their property, which seem to have been planted there in preparation for a possible police raid.
It could be that our enemies (through Interpol) are planning an attack in Japan, similar to what happened in Australia, as when such large-scale persecution happens in one country, they sometimes try to take advantage of the media hype & the momentum that is generated to pounce on us in other countries as well.
When Mama heard reports about the situation in Japan she commented: "Our prayers have stayed the persecution so far, but if we get slack & don't continue to pray, then the Devil can go on the attack & forge ahead & deal us some serious blows! Our prayers are what will turn the tide of these battles & prevent further serious attacks from the Enemy!
"Just because the Family at the HCS had warning dreams of persecution doesn't mean it's definitely going to happen. God forbid that we should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray! Please continue to pray desperately, & the Lord will win the victory! PTL! GBY! ILY!"
Concerning the situation in Japan, please pray desperately:
--That the Lord will stop any investigation or plans for raids on the Homes there.
--That the Lord will give those at the HCS time & opportunity to complete the important projects that they're presently working on.
--That the Lord will raise up powerful friends, supply the needed letters of recommendation, & lead the Family there about how to prepare.

Thailand: The Shepherds in Thailand report on the present political situation, as seen from inside the country: "International news has been quite negative & extremely distorted. We'd like to clarify some important details & add some which they have omitted:
"The riots were caused when about 70,000 to 100,000 people from the so-called Democratic Movement got together in a predesignated area, which was approved by the government. Major General Chamlong (the Bangkok mayor) then led those people to march on the Government House &/or the Royal Palace. In doing so, they deliberately entered a government security area which was off-limits to the public. Then the demonstrators themselves instigated a more or less full-fledged war against the police, charging the police with bricks, bottles, rocks, fire bombs, etc., which resulted in them apparently injuring quite a few policemen, firemen, etc. From there the demonstrators went on a rampage, burning, looting & destroying anything they could get their hands on, including burning down a police station & fire station. This is what later caused the military to react the way they did.
"It's interesting to see that the international news media seems to totally ignore this aspect of the provocation, but rather focuses on the heavy-handed tactics being used by the military as they try to put down the anarchy & reinstitute law & order. The international news media is even going so far as to call it `Thailand's Tiananmen Square.' However, unlike the Tiananmen students, this was far from a peaceful group of demonstrators, & it seems to be a pre-planned effort on the part of some to actually bring down the government with violence, through the terrorist tactics that they are employing here.
"The Prime Minister said on television that the entire situation was brought about by Marxist elements, backed by a leader of an opposition political party, who were intent on destabilising or overthrowing the government & ultimately the Monarchy also, to establish some type of more Socialist government with the King as a mere figurehead. Apparently the reason this situation became so violent is because of Marxist elements instigating the anarchy--professional saboteurs, as they have been called--infiltrating the pro-Democracy demonstrators & causing tremendous damage to public property, shooting at the soldiers, etc. which then escalated into even more violence.
"The government has declared a state of emergency. Over 40 people have been killed, & at least 600 more have been wounded. It continues to be quite a tense situation at night, with these people rioting out of control in a section of the city, where they have been quarantined by the military. TTL, so far the situation has been confined to one relatively small area in Bangkok, & has not spilled over at all into the places where we have Homes.
"In reading `The Program of the Antichrist' (ML #1342, Vol.14) just recently, the situation here was almost a picture-perfect example of how things are supposed to unfold, with anarchy, media backing, maligning the government, & a call for greater freedom, democracy, etc.--All perfectly timed to maximum effect."
(Update: After intervention by the King, Prime Minister Suchinda has resigned & will leave the country. The bloodshed has ended & the King has granted amnesty to everyone involved--both the military and the demonstrators collectively. Not only has the Lord restored the peace, but He has also helped the Thai people see how easily the country could collapse, causing a vacuum for our Message which we haven't seen before! Romans 8:28.)
We wanted to ask for continued prayer for the following points:
--That the Lord will bring peace as soon as possible so that we may continue to minister to these precious people, who are now much more receptive than ever.
--That the international ramifications will not be too damaging for Thailand in the long term.
--For the precious DF friends we have here.

Matias, 40, one of our first Argentinian disciples, went to be with the Lord the afternoon of April 28th, after a very short illness. He had been physically weak for some time & suffered battles off & on with rheumatism, asthma, a hernia & a liver problem. We will miss him, but are thankful that he's now set free from his bodily afflictions, & "the weights that did so easily beset" him! Please pray for his children & the loved ones he left behind, that they will be comforted & drawn close to the Lord through all of this. "For us who love the Lord, death is a relief, release, freedom, promotion, graduation, & passing on to a better realm!" (MOP 21:46)
Colombia is having a very serious problem with electricity rationing throughout the country, with power cuts most of the day almost every day, which greatly affects all aspects of Home life. It is not clear why these power cuts are happening, but it seems that the ACs are trying to bring down Colombia's normally stable economy. The phone system is also being adversely affected by the lack of electricity & is on the verge of collapse.

--Yalta radio show: A radio interview in Yalta, for what is said to be the biggest radio station in the former USSR, reaching 80% of its territory & having a daily estimated listening audience of 60-80 million! One of their reporters, a precious man whom we witnessed to, did a half-hour interview with us, & we were able to witness & give lots of Message. The reporter also said he would try to arrange for us to have a time slot on this radio station every two weeks. A reporter from a Crimean newspaper was present as well & plans to publish it in her paper in a few days. That the broadcasting of the interview will work out, with as much Message as possible, & that the Lord will open the door for a regular slot. Also that the article in the newspaper will come out well.
Poland:
--Against parents getting organised against us & the "cults."

--Against Petrowski, who's trying to publish articles against the Family in different newspapers.
